Great job and interesting to look at - a few things I noticed - lots of apparent health food stalls yet most folk seem overweight or even obese? Only one or two are wearing masks - so very different to Australia. What phone/camera are you using.

I live in Austin and for over a year already masks have been optional, indoor or outdoor. I can count with the fingers in one hand the times I’ve worn a mask anywhere since the very beginning of the pandemic.

Americans eat well. Probably better than we need to. For everything wrong with Austin, the food culture, the restaurant and cafe culture is world class! Of course a lot of those people you are seeing may be Californians. Several million refugees from California's madness have come to Texas. (And are still coming) It feels like they all settled in Austin! Besides being the Capitol City of the Republic and the home to the University of Texas, there are numerous high tech companies in and around Austin. Many of them also moved from California, others have been here for decades.
