Asteroid City 100% But it does have better pacing than Asteroid City and not just because it's shorter.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this film. It was so well paced and I felt like it went by so quickly. I think the cast was memorizing . they all delivered their lines so perfectly

I feel like at this point, WA would fit right at home with an anthology series on streaming. I enjoy his movies but haven’t really LOVED one since GBH.

More than a play, to me it was like what happens in my head when I read a book. I would close my eyes and follow the dialogue. Rewind it, the version they present is so similar to what you picture in your head through the words. Absolutely loved it! Fantastic how they depict what you see when you read as a film.

The "I said," parts were own par with the quirkiness of Wes Anderson, and I loved it. Also not to be missed is his use of lighting for effect. I have never seen it done that way before, and I thought it added depth to the movie. 10/10 for me.

Lol every time a new Wes Anderson film comes out we say it’s the most “Wes Anderson”yet 😂

4:46 I had never heard of Wes Anderson before 10 minutes ago when I finished watching it, and began wondering who had made it, etc. It's an amazing movie. It's weird, but I like it.

I currently feel that this movie was slightly better than Asteroid City, and yet we still got another 3 Wes Anderson Roald Dahl adaptions coming over the next few days that's insane!
@hugopetruspons11 ай бұрын
Loved it! Straight to the point, with all the Anderson usual quircks, great performances of all the cast, couldn't ask for more.

Apparently there are 3 more Roald Dahl stories directed by Wes Anderson coming to Netflix, starting tomorrow!!!

A Short film from an Oscar nominated directed with 3 Oscar nominated actors and 1 winner and they've all been in movies that have won Best Picture: Gandhi, Schindler's List, The English Patience, Slumdog Millionaire and 12 Years a Slave.

I had a really nice time with this short as well! I love seeing more Roald Dahl on film. Will you be reviewing the other shorts releasing on Netflix, maybe in a combined video? I just watched the Swan, and can't wait to watch the other two, The Rat Catcher and Poison.

The story telling style was also Indian, from the ancient text Panchtantra (created in 200 BCE) and Technic was made so that ancient Indian students can remember huge amounts of information order wise.

As a devoted fan of Wes Anderson's films, especially up to "The Grand Budapest," I must admit that I believe he has somewhat lost touch with reality in his last three films(excluding this one, as I've since disengaged from his work). "The Royal Tenenbaums," "The Darjeeling Limited," "Moonrise Kingdom," and the aforementioned "Budapest" stand as some of my all-time favorites. However, I'm yet to witness other popular directors experience as significant decline in recent years as good old Wes. In the relatively brief span of six or seven years, from "Isle of Dogs" to "Asteroid City," this once-vibrant style has grown completely stale (not that this particular art-style was solely his creation). I find myself wondering why he seems resistant to explore new creative avenues and try something different. Nevertheless, we, as fans and former fans, also bear some responsibility for lavishing him with excessive praise. Perhaps it's just me who has grown weary of witnessing the same Wes Anderson cinematic formula on repeat(its basically the same movie over and over again), but I've noticed many other cinephiles voicing similar grievances for quite some time now.

It’s so sad that this is on Netflix. They don’t deserve great filmmakers like Wes

I will say that this short film ruined my version of Henry Sugar. I read this story and Parsons Pleasure when I was 18. When I saw this on Netflix today I was delighted. But I don’t know if this is how I had envisioned the wonderful “world” of Henry Sugar.

"Wes Anderson's 'The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar' is the short film version of a kaleidoscope on acid. It's as if Wes whispered to the camera, 'Hey, let's make a movie that looks like a Wes Anderson film on steroids.'
