I think this is awesome! I just want to mention a good piece of advice I didnt saw here... On the first Stone Talus, dont waste your weapons or hearts. Climb a tree and use magnesis on the two metal boxes to hit the ore on his back - you‘ll get him knocked out pretty quick without wasting any resources or hearts.

Also somthing you missed: Once your done with a floor chop all the trees down and when you get to a rest point cook them 1 by 1 and that will give you some rock food it may give 1/4 of a heart but it helps a lot if you’ve got a bunch of them

Tip: Don’t try to shield parry all the guardians in the final trials. Jump off of something for bullet time and hit the guardians in the eye with an ancient arrow for an OHKO. Way faster, way easier

Mine got so bad about 70% of the way through the game I had to finally break down & get a Split Pad Pro. Having to put a regular one back in for the rare remaining apparatus bit (SPP doesn't do gyro or rumble, but is otherwise *infinitely* more comfortable & satisfying, even with my weird big palm/stubby sausage fingers combo) in shrines is just *brutal*. 😭

tips : for the first trial, grab a korok leaf in the early floor (you can get those from destroying trees). in floor 11 when you arrive at the base of the ennemis, aim with that leave (by holding the ''throw'' button) to push bokoblins into the water no trouble at all. it can shoot wind through wall and floors so don't hesitate to take them all out without leaving the bottom of the tower. ps: does not work on moblins. for the third trial : on the floor 7, there is a rusty claymore on the isolated pillar. take it before killing the only fire oktorok. instead of using elemental weapons or arrows to take out pebbits, use your bombs. this works as well for ice pebbits. on the floor 21 : instead of using your ancient arrows on the propellers, jump an slow-mo with your bow to hit it in the ''eye''. it'll one-shot it. (i was raging to see how austin john just wasted ancient arrows on the propellers. don't do that like him) for the rest, the video was awesome and complete enought so i've nothing else to add... if you ever read me austin john(that i hightly doubt), awesome job, continue like this please!!!

What I did is I cut down the trees to gather wood, and then cooked each piece of wood alone to get a quarter of a heart each. All of them together are only around four hearts, but it helped.

I recommend cutting down some trees and collecting wood during the trials. If you mess up and get hurt, you can cook food between rest areas to fill up more hearts. Also in the first part of the second trial I let the bokoblins shoot fire arrows into the boxes while I hid behind them so the food inside would get cooked. This helped me because I didn't think to boost my defense before entering the trials.

+Ninjaananas I would just use them as firewood for cooking food like Angelita Ellison described. I don't think a quarter of a heart is too useful. But if it's the Beginning or Middle Trials, then you won't really need firewood except for cooking. If it's the Final Trials, you should use the wood for firewood in the ice levels.

@@jsOliWhite stasis the lizalfos that can see you immediately. Then cryonis a platform off the dock in the corner of the room behind you opposite the lizalfoses. Now you have time to breathe and can regroup here if they see you. I headshot the first one that can alert the others. Then I lured the other two down the dock toward me one at a time by shooting them.

Just letting you know, the flying guardian can be one shotted in the eye instead of wasting ancient arrows on the propellers. Just grab its attention with a normal arrow, ( be on top of tower for you have a better aim ) once shot with normal arrow it will lock on to you and just swap to ancient arrow and shoot the eye. You save a lot more ancient arrows ;)

Haven't tried it yet but did you try using the lightning rod on the water method? Hide on the right platform and shoot lightning balls at the water near the right Liz. Use the log to block ranged attacks.

This guide single handedly allowed me to beat trials of the sword. Austin, you're a God brother!! Also for anyone who might see this comment, on the final trial, SAVE YOUR BOMB ARROWS. You don't need to use them before the last room. Use ancient arrows on the three different guardian level and you will still have plenty for the last level. Use those bomb arrows on the bokoblins! Use a metor rod to fly up, and just bomb those suckers. It's not worth risking the run, and it's the last level.

Better strategies for the guardian themed floors(if you aren't insanely good at shield parries): Floor 19(the floor full of decayed guardians): Be prepared to use a few weapons on this floor, but seeing as your approaching the end, you should be fine. The guardians will only activate in a specific order and not by proximity. This means that you can use inactive guardians as cover. You can also use the active guardian that you are attacking as cover from other active guardians by getting between it and the wall. Choose a guardian to attack. Make your way over to your target by using a combination of stasis, cover, and, as you get closer, arrows to the eye. Once you reach your target, get between it and the wall. Start wacking on the guardian. The moment it starts to focus on you back up a pace and shoot it in the eye. Repeat until dead. Then find your next target and repeat. Floor 20(guardian stalker): For these next few floors I'm going to recommend ancient arrows as they make the process SO much easier. However! MAKE SURE you save one for the silver Lynel at the end! That is critical. Also, if you are worried about missing and losing one, you can always shoot one into the ground, take a picture of it for your sheikah sensor, and pick it up again. Anyways, mount a horse that is provided in the corner of the room and ride over to the guardian. When you get close to the guardian, hit X to jump off your horse into the air, bring up your bow(this activates aerial archery if for some reason you didn't know), and pop him in the eye with an ancient arrow. Job done. Floor 21(guardian skywatcher): Climb the tower right in front of you, wait until the the guardian is close, and drop. Once you're low enough to have a clear shot at the eye, bring up your bow and pop him with an ancient arrow. Floor 22(guardian stalker, skywatcher, and turret): Note that the structure in front of you is actually a section of boundary wall and the main section of it has a room that you can enter to get perfect cover from any of the enemies in this room. Climb the wall and deal with the guardian skywatcher the same way you did on floor 21. The only critical difference is that you'll have to be on the lookout for either the stalker or the turret, depending on which side you chose. If it starts targeting you, duck inside the building to get out of its sights. Next, we go after the stalker. Keep an eye out for the turret, but otherwise wait until it stops moving in order to finish targeting you, then hit it with an ancient arrow to the eye. Now make your way towards the tower that the turret is located on, utilizing cover and/or stasis. If you have an extra ancient arrows beyond what you've saved for the lynel on the next floor, go ahead and use that once you get to the top of the tower. But if you're like me and used a couple of them on the silver moblin and bokoblin on earlier floors, or you simply want to conserve ancient arrows, there is a really simple strategy to take out the turrets. Equip a claymore type weapon, anything that you can spin with really, and start climbing. When you reach the top immediately pop the guardian in the eye with an arrow if it is facing you, if not then it doesn't matter. Start spinning. The moment the guardian starts targeting you abandon ship and jump off the tower. Repeat until dead. Floor 23(silver lynel, guardian turret, bokoblins on horseback): Run forward and shoot the lynel with the ancient arrow. Now book it at top speed towards the turret's tower(located at the same place as the previous floor). If it starts targeting you, stasis it and keep running. Use the same strategy to take out this turret as we did for the one on the previous floor. Once the turret is dead we're basically done, we just need to avoid doing anything stupid and getting ourselves killed. Our strategy here is to abuse the hell out of the aerial archery mechanic. Use the tower as a starting point to fly out and use aerial archery to take out nearby bokoblins. Once you've taken out all of the bokoblins within range of the tower, go and mount one of their horses. Ride towards them until you're within easy bow range, jump into the air, and bring out your bow. Once you've emptied a few saddles drop down, then rinse and repeat.

YYYAAAWWWPPP! I finally beat the final trial after about a months hard effort. Thanks for the video and thanks for the inspiration. I made it to the last room once but after taking out the Lynel I died pretty quickly not being able to take out or get away from the bokoblins fast enough. It took me another two weeks to get to the final room. In that time I watched another video where a person used the fire rod from the fire wizzrobe to create an updraft and get away and create some space between you and the bokoblins. I was able to do that and take out the Lynel from the sky. I next went to the tower and took my time taking out the guardian turret first casting stasis on it and hitting it with whatever weapons I had left, shooting it in the eye when it recovered and continuing to bash it. When it was gone I first was so stunned that I had actually gotten that far. Not wanting to die I stayed on the tower and tries to attract and take out the remaining bokoblins. I was able to take out all but three with arrows and bombs but three would not come close enough so I carefully glided to the smaller tower to the left and was able to take them out with arrows. I did it. I shout my barbaric YAWP!

Post game bored lynel farming has made me a master of killing them. Except the crusher ones. Maxes armor and like 16 hearts, still get one shot

It's really not a good idea to rely on shield deflect for the guardians in the last trial. Just stun them with arrows, get in close and kill them with 2h weapons to be safe. There are too many of them - Too many chances to make a mistake and miss shield deflect. There is no reason to risk taking that damage when it means having to start over.

Brilliant guide, helped me a ton. I don't think I'd have beaten this without learning ancient arrows kill Lynels in one hit. Just completed it after failing the last stretch (my shield deflect timing was off and then just couldn't get into a safe spot to get my bearings against the broken guardians.) One small thing I'd add to the guide, when taking on the little rock dudes, you can just chuck a bomb at them to kill them in one hit.

This is my difficulty of all of the trials: Most easy: Middle Trials Kinda hard: Beginning trials Hell: Final trials I did the beginning and middle trials but final trials...is complete torture and i will attempt for the 17th time (seriously) to beat the final trials (Edit) so i did the trials and i died on the 11th floor so imma try it in 5 years

Yo try out an out of bounds skip for it. If the hinox was easy for you, you can get to him by going out of bounds. Just look up trial of the sword skip 2019 and it should lead you there. It worked for me.

I would honestly recommend going in with at least 2 rings of Stamina, at least for the middle trials. You are going to need to do some bullet time stuff in the early rooms for the middle trials and you're gonna really have a hard time if you go in with just a single ring of Stamina.

Transferred all my stamina vessels into hearts and went into the middle trials with just one ring of stamina, but beat it first try. I just had to be very quick while being in bullet time, and exit before running out of stamina. While having more stamina would be nice, it is doable

Tip: At the rest stops you can cook the tree wood for a 1/4 heart if you really need it! Cook lots of 1/4 hearts to fill up a lot of hearts, also that means you CAN cook dubious food.

Kinda late into the party. My strategy for floor 23 Cook a speed buff food. Eat it as soon as floor 23 starts. Run to the lynel and kill it with an ancient arrow Then run and climb for the guardian and use ancient arrow #2 Then for the bokoblins, there are other safer options, but i killed one via slow mo arrows, then bcuz im still speedy i can catch up to a horse and ride it, then use a spear on the remaining bokoblins

dont forget about bombs for the beginning of the 3rd trial. its a great way to seperate the stal bokobs from their bodies and wepons, and do crowd controle. especially useful for knocking them off their horsed in the 4th floor, and getting rid of the flame pebbles and chuchus in the fire levels.

It takes a little more time but I found that bombing or cutting down trees to wood and cooking it helps if you need hearts in Trial Of The Sword every heart counts so might wanna try this. Cook the wood one at a time though since adding more doesn't add more hearts to it

Sword Trial is Master Mode is super brutal....I recently tried it with just 10 hearts and a 30 minute defense buff and I stalled out on level 5.....I mismanaged my weapons and ran out....I was left trying to kill 3 Bokoblins with just bombs.....they were able to recover their health faster than I could take it so my run ended in failure

You forgot rock hard food. That's 60 quarter hearts, 15 hearts! Also remember if you have max health a hearty radish coocked alone is a full heal. Super effective. Eat horse meat?

Grind for wood, you can cook them they don't give much health but give you much but it will fill your inventory until you get better food and stuff.

Upgrading the master sword is the best thing about BOTW. I didn't use the ancient arrows until the last 3 floors and I still had 6 left over.
