I watch your videos everyday, let me ask you this. if you just remove the servo out install a new band and put the servo back, nothing has changed, then this tool is useless right. you just putting back in the same servo.
@IrocinZ Жыл бұрын
You have to compensate for differences in machining and wear. The pin can be too long or too short for those reasons. That's why you always want to measure it.

@@IrocinZ You know what. I could not sleep last night thinking I have put the band wrong, so I checked it this morning. the one thing I noticed was the pin was not close to the band, so I freaked out because I thought the band is too loose or the pin is to far out, I thought the pin supposed to rest on the band groove?

To my understanding the buffer it help the tanny shift
@IrocinZ3 жыл бұрын
The buffer takes the signal from the speed sensor and converts it to a signal the speedometer can use.

Not necessarily...It sounds like you have a leak in the 2-4 servo

I know one thing, that servo apply pin tool is not cheap if you buy new

Is there a certain way the band anchor sits in the hole I just put it in the hole.?
@IrocinZ Жыл бұрын
Tou just have to make sure the hole in the band is inline with the hole that the anchor pin goes in. Then when you install the pin, it will engage the hole in the band

Can the band be adjusted while the transmission is in the vehicle? I'm not getting no overdrive
@IrocinZ Жыл бұрын
If you have 2nd gear, it's not the band that's an issue. You would have a control issue...but to answer your question, yes, in certain applications and if you have enough clearance

What are your thoughts on the sonnax super hold 2-4 servo for a stock 4L60e?
@IrocinZ3 жыл бұрын
Its a good upgrade. However, it will definitely change the feel of the 1-2 shift. In a stock daily driver, I would try a Corvette Servo first to see how it feels

How you convert 4l60e wire hasness to 700r4
@IrocinZ3 жыл бұрын
You don't...A 700r4 is hydraulically controlled except the converter clutch and the 4L60e is full electronic.

What I'm trying to do is ( 89 C1500 chevy ) changing the claster to have tack in my truck so I wanting to change the wire hasness over so I'm taking the hassnes out of 92 that has 700r4 in it but I'd found out that the hassnes has buffer secner in it at least I think it did but actually not sure because the wires were cut and that white box buffer was in the truck which usely for 4L60e if looked all over my truck for it and it no where so I now it doesn't use it I have tried that has been cut don't know where they go to so I'd try to chase them down and nothing made sence I also have 94 which had the 4L60E in it that I thought it was for 700r4 so out of both hassnes hose to different things so ya I'm alittle confused like some hose to the buffer on one hassnes and the other one hose to ac and brake and relye

@@robertroeling1882 if it were me, if a tach is all you wanted, I would just install an aftermarket one instead of messing with all the wiring...
@robertroeling18823 жыл бұрын
I would if I didn't have short somewhere in the hassnes already because of that I just change it out to factory style set up
