Hopefully Auston Matthews can shake off his demons and be completely and be healthy in the playoffs this year. Something seems to be bothering him now, and he had the wrist injury last year. Plus he had a shoulder problem one year too. But really I think this team is destined for a Stanley Cup in the very near future, and they will just find a way to get it done!!! Let’s be clear, Auston Matthews will always have the same problem other great players have, being prone to injury throughout their career and this will stymie much of his personal record achievements long term. We hear many excuses from analysts about players regarding “would have, could have” stats but if they have trouble playing an entire season due to injury or whatever it will affect their legacy. Unfortunately Auston is one of these players and if he doesn’t get to 60 goals it is another failed milestone for him. We should expect this from him throughout his career!!!
