He is is beloved by the Toronto fan base. When your in the Scotiabank Arena, and he steps on the ice, the energy shifts, and all eyes and focus is on Matthews. When he scores the crowd erupts with joy and cheers of triumph. He has the Crown, he is the King of the City, and we are so lucky to have this hockey spectacle in Toronto.

Sorry, but #25 needs to be in the top 5. It may not look like it, but the angle and body position makes that nearly an impossible shot. The skill needed to pull that off, let alone try it, is incredible. That release is absolutely bonkers to anybody that has played hockey and knows the difficulty.

Irvine860 our biggest downfall was our defence and we upgraded that significantly in my opinion, not just who we gained but who we lost. As long as Mitch signs, our forward core will be just as strong if not stronger, we lost marleau who was useless last season. and a couple bottom tier players but replaced Kadri with a similar player in Kerfoot.

Well in Marner's defense, he IS a better playmaker and better penalty killer than Matthews, that's for damn sure. He isn't a better scorer. Not sure who's a better skater. But Marner is probably more durable, too.
