Millions of people are praying to become an Australian/Aussie

The reason they keep the steers that long and sell them directly is because it's highly profitable. Meat is worth a lot more per lb than a weaned calf.

Takes a year longer though.

My nephew works on one of the largest northern cattle stations in Aussie, they run 200,000 head of hybrid cattle bostaurs and bosindicus line and turn them off earlier than pure bosindicus, to slaughter and lots feeding. Those pure bosindicus you're seeing their are rubbish cattle on feed so they either slaughter them locally or live export them to Asian countries where they feed them on for slaughter. The Aussie Northern cattle industry is all about numbers and not quality, as you can see its all harsh grazing Station Country, like our more rubbish country in the US. My nephew loves it there though, they go out on cattle camp during the round up and stay out camped for a month. They used to use helicopters to round up the cattle but that makes em wild so they are returning to horse back using their semi wild Brumbies, he's given a string of 7, one for each day of the week and says they are all but wild and need to be rebroke each muster. He's even found himself a little woman who also works on the Station. She's from a big Hereford operation down south outside of Wagga Wagga and when they get married they'll return down south and manage the beef and bull breeding operation of around 2500 head and he'll immigrate and become a genuine Aussie. The thing he misses the most is the quality of our Quarter horses and our western cowboy life style.

What about letting the Zebu from India settle in Australia. The Zebu never suffers from heat and desert climate unlike the cows having come from Europe.

Those pens make most American pens look like junk! Really well made and thought out. And yes let’s treat the aboriginal people great and give them the top of that mountain. Kinda like giving American Indians the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona

That mountain was a huge deal with all the people there. Apparently very sacred to the aboriginal people. I don’t know or understand it all but it was a big deal. No disagreement from me on the American side of the equation.
