【Australia】Mama travels around Sydney on the train【Solo trip】【Differences between Japan & Oz】

Mama regularly rode on the trains in Sydney during her trip. In this video she introduces some of the differences between the Japanese and Australian train systems. Please check it out and enjoy the feeling of being away on a trip.
Sydney has lots of public transport - trains, trams (light rail), buses and ferries - and it can be confusing for newcomers. Opal cards are similar to Suica cards and are very convenient.
Going over the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge in the train, you can look out at the Opera House, Luna Park and Darling Harbour.
Moving out of the city, there are even train stations where the platforms are shorter than the train, so you need to be careful when getting.
Australian weather changes very quickly, so much so that weather apps and the like aren’t much use. Sometimes you can have everything all in one day!
COVID measures and the like are decided by law and sometimes change literally overnight, so we recommend you check relevant information carefully so you don’t get fined for breaking the law.
We hope this video will help people wanting to visit Australia and people who want to learn more about the differences between Oz and Japan!

現在のシドニー及び郊外への電車情報、興味深く拝見しました。シドニーはトラムしか利用した事がありません。 中心部は殆んど歩き回れる大きさですからね。後はボート。大、大、大好きなんです。 ボートからのシドニー市街の眺め、うっとりするほど美しいです。 ホーンズビーが故郷なんですね。余談ですが、アメリカの歌手にブルース･ホンズビーという、とても良い曲を作る人がいます。懐かしい名前を聞いて、早速久しぶりに聴いてみました。いいですね~~。 有り難うございます。

The public transport system in Sydney is good. The train system is good too. The trains in Brisbane are not that frequent.

ワーホリで一年間りょこうしてました！ シドニーではweekly チケットが7＄くらいっだたでしょう！ お金がない学生には非常に助かりましたが、 毎回買う駅員さんが僕の発音に対して 不満げな顔をろこつにしていて不快 だったことありましたよ！ でもノースシドニーではたらいていたとき、 親切なオーストラリアの方が 家におまねきしていただき 日本での生活はすばらしかったと いってくれたことが、本当にうれしかったですよ!!! スリーシスターズは自然にできた山で 印象深かったです！

I visited the bridge yesterday. More than 95％ people didn’t wear a mask there. I guess they had overcome covid 19 at least to a certain degree. Though I am in Japan now, I will continue to wear a mask just in case.

Did you enjoy it? Yes I hear that they are no longer wearing masks over there though there are still a lot of cases. Because of Mama’s surgery, I am glad we are still wearing masks here in Japan.

詳細な情報ありがとうございます。 先進国の多くは（通常）法律と罰則セットで施行されますよね。罰が厳格というより明確。法の逸脱と抵抗はもちろん欧米人は得意。なおのこと政権は保障も少なからず施策し人々の不満をできるだけ具体的に抑止して政権維持を図る。米国でストライキ権が無い労働者の場合でもスト行うことがあるらしい。一部処分あっても厳罰しデモ弾圧しないし制圧は不可能。大衆の権力に対する抵抗が強い。＊日本人より遥かに 日本政治は「呼びかけ」「（強い）お願い」型で人々にモラル化の思考を促してそれでいて「強制」にすり替わります。 対応は権限が不明確な現場、その場の職員に任せ、対応に追われ混乱、困惑。SNS時代のお陰で多くが政治と混乱の情報をコロナで得るようになりましたがまだ少数民。日本大メディアは敢えて政治の責任や保障、基本的原因、リアル情報を報道しません。旧態依然のその政治スタイルは今後も到来する災難の際に改革されることはない。同政権を従順性の強い国民が投票や棄権で支える限り。 などと勝手に考えてみました。誤解マチガイなどがありましたら、お時間余裕のあるとき30年くらいしたら教えてください

面白いですね、日本の場合、乗降客の人数に合わせて車両の台数を決めてあると思うのですが(ローカル線の場合)、そのため駅のホームをオーバーすることはないかと思います。オーストラリアのように面積が大きい国では、常に大きい数字に合わせてあるのではないでしょうか？

ありがとうございます｡そうですね。あの線は都市間鉄道で､都市と都市の間の街の大きさが様々なので乗降客の人数に合わせてホームの長さが違うのかと思います。 動画で紹介した1/2両しか無いホームの駅は、実は降りたい人が車掌さんに降りると伝えないと電車が止まりません。

全部の車両が、ダブルデッカーなのがびっくりしました、私は大阪在住で昔関西の車両で一部ダブルデッカーが、有り今は、廃止されました余り人気が、ありませんでした。
