I have also found ths Bf Goodrich A/T's to wear quickly due IMO the aggressive chureviewnky tread, we have a number of utilities on our cattle property and are now running Hankook AT2 A/T tyres with much better mileage, wet weather handling and still good on the dirt. We are also getting good wear on a set of Yokohama Geolanders on sons 2020 BT 50. Appreciate your review!

Thanks Simon… We love your practical and relevant content. Our van arrives soon (approx 3100kg loaded) and we will tow with Ranger Wildtrak also but have ordered the new V6 because of the 6400 GCM… but mainly as I love my cars 😊. A lot of our weight planning and calculation has been influenced by your content… thank you and safe travels.

Hi Graeme I have the same views on the vehicle as you and will be getting the V6 wildtrak also after the current 2021 Wildtrak X lease expires in mid 2023 and I have the 10 speed 2.0 it is great. Now on to my question if you can answer it, The tie down bars on the new ranger do you have any information on the load caring capacity because on my present car I have a uneek 4X4 adventure rack and Bespoke roller shutter supports to hold the adventure rack at a rated capacity of 400kg static load. I have asked a few dealers and other people and the answer varies quite a bit, from 120kg to 350kg if you know for certain I would really like to know for my plans. Cheers David
@graemegrieve19532 жыл бұрын
@@Sabumnim666 Sorry David… at this stage I have no plans to utilize the tie down bars until I know how all my weights stack up. The ARB catalogue lists the “braced” accent canopy as being able to carry a 380kg distributed load which may provide some insight as opposed to a definitive figure… if I discover any further info I’ll let you know… regards!

Hey guys, love the videos. The first thing I did when I got my Ranger was to install the twin transmission coolers, remove the small heat exchanger and replace the thermo valve. I had the transmission serviced at the same time. I am only towing a camper trailer but don't want any transmission issues. OK, gotta get back to the videos.

Hi Simon, we have been following you both for some time now because we discovered that you have the same setup as us…. A 20.5 Zone Base (ZB076)being towed by a 3.2 Ranger. Couldn’t agree more with you’re assessment… our Ranger FX4 is stock standard with bar and driving lights only… what a great car for the job, no need for all those accessories.. my only wish is for a snorkel for the reasons you stated. We do a lot of off roading and the Ranger is perfectly capable as it is, just drive with common sense. Keep up the travels and we will see you both out there one day… we are in the fire engine red Ranger with a van you will recognise. Andy and Kate.

Hey Simon, great video on your Ranger Wildtrak. We have a 2015 Mazda BT50 with 70K on the clock. We have it set up much the same as you. We fitted a trans cooler for the 6 speed auto on the 3.2. Works brilliant when towing our Kakadu Wanderer Extreme 19.6 off road. Just wondering if you had one. Don’t think you mentioned it. Safe travels and we await more videos from you. We have been following you since the get go. Off all the ones we follow you guys are by far the best. Cheers Brian & Bronwyn.👏

Hi Simon, greatly appreciate your description of your vehicle, especially about weights. We are getting a new Wildtrack. Two questions: If you did upgrade the rear springs, what load rating would you choose with your current set up? Have you come across anyone with a Smart bar? If so, any comment about them would be appreciated? Cheers, Mark
@TheLifestylePioneers2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. Thanks for the feedback. I'd have to chat to someone about spring rates but my gut feeling would be around the 300kg mark. You don't see too many Smart bars around. I don't have any experience with them. They're pretty ugly though 😆
