The colours of Uluru whilst raining are unreal. Purples with waterfalls are awesome, l lived in Yulara, so l could travel out when this happened. I have travelled through the valley of the winds in the Olga's and climbed Mt. Connor. Also travelled south of Mutigulu to the Musgrave Ranges and Amata.

Well done, your Aussie adventure completed. Actually made me a little sad seeing your LR going into the container as I know it along with you visited my part of Australia. I was 23 back in 1978, visited Uluru on a tour. Camped right near the base of rock, you could do that then as well as climb it. I ran up it and all over the top, big rock.I believe some seventy thousand people climbed it annually. It also rained when I was there, have photos of water streaming down making waterfalls. Look forward to more of your travels.

All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW !!! Well done, and Thank you. What a fantastic experience of many areas of Australia. We've seen many parts of it at different times on separate trips over the years, so really enjoyed the reminders of those places, and loved experiencing with you all the new places we hadn't been, especially in the NW and the across the center from South to North. You were fortunate to have such cooperative weather for that long stretch and for Uluru...that place is magical, even in the hot dry weather. Good luck to Albo on the high seas. Looking forward to seeing what your experiences in NZ, Timor and beyond. Thanks again !!

Great vid, there's something special about Uluru, the Olga's, we aren't spiritual people either but certainly felt it there! We found ourselves drawn back to the Rock numerous times,,,don't know why and the fact that we used to climb it feels just wrong now! Happy travels

The heat is oppressive in the tropics of Australia in the wet season. You have the desert heat mixing with the tropical air. Plus the sun in Australia is so intense due to the axis of the earth and at its closets point over the continent to the sun. I went from Arizona in the summer and then to the Piilbara for theirs and the heat was so much more intense there.
