A lot of the players on South Sudan just recently joined the team, so their still getting use to playing together, understanding their system, and communicating. You can see the issues on the defensive end especially but they should improve overtime. Before the tournament started they added 4 players with NBA experience: Wenyen Gabriel, Carlik Jones, Marial Shayok, Mangok Mathiang and two ex-NCAA stars: Peter Jok and Emmanuel Akot. All of these guys are solid players but none of them had played for the national team before (this was just their second game for the team). So it makes sense that there will be breakdowns defensively.
