Something we ALL need to understand is that every beekeeper has to make up their OWN mind on how to do things. Right or wrong, it's their path, their journey... Not the viewers. The Bush Beeman has never claimed everything was perfect. (Just look at his shed.) It's a joy watching him grow into beekeeping. That said, his bees appear to be happy, productive & thriving. I'd question how many of his critics could say the same?

Good stuff Bruce. Hard to wrap your head around that holiday/seasonal thing. Thanksgiving in spring, Christmas in summer. When I was having this discussion with Aussie beekeeping, I joked, "When do you celebrate the 4th of July?"😅

For the heat of the summer l put a wood Shim on top my top board like 3/4 inch thick then top cover goes back on and it let’s it vent out the heat like a chimney so no sweetness..

Oh ok. Yes they are experiencing mites for the first time there and I am sure they really don’t know what to do. You can tell Mark is quite concerned. Hopefully they can weather the storm.
