I want to personally thank you for these episodes. These were the episodes my family and i were in the audience. We Went every day that week to tapings. Which was these three specials and the first couple of heats. This was the summer of 96, Jan here in Australia. Had seen the ad about filming and being in the audience and begged my parents to take us. My brothers loved Gladiators too and we would watch it every Sat night. My mum loved Taipan. I still remember this week well and being in the Audience and seeing these games was so much fun! I havent seen these since they originally aired!!

15:40 Worth watching Australian Gladiators just for Fury. Absolutely gorgeous, but awful in Whiplash. Don't think she'd done the event before or did it ever again. Looked really nervous before the start, as if she new what was coming and so embarrassed(although really cute) in the interview after she'd been beaten so easily. Couldn't believe she even admitted to being physically weaker than a contender.

Watched this over again and felt so bad for Fury. I know it's only a TV show, but she kinda looked humiliated being so obviously overpowered. Both contender and Kimberly both took pity on her to be honest and fed her the excuse that she lost due her balance, but she didn't take it for some reason. As a gladiator, watching it back she must have been cringing hearing herself being caught having to admit a small 55kg contender was obviously stronger than her.

I don't remember her ever losing so this was a surprise. Was there ever a small enough contender give Fury another go against in Whiplash 😊.
