It's the first time I've ever heard anyone complaining that the song was too long :D it's not even their longest one but they do have short ones too. I've listened this song for like 500 times and it's always a great experience but apparently it's not for everyone and that's completely fine. Wintersun likes to make songs that take their time to explore musically at natural pace and not rush things so the songs are exactly as long as they need to be. Thank you for the reaction!

Absolutely mastepiece ! My favorite song of all time, it's just perfect in my opinion. I think the lenght of this song is necessary, cause they took us into a journey... But thank you for your honest opinion man! If you want some shorter songs by them try to hear Starchild or Winter Madness (this one has a fantastic solo) , both from their first album, which is one of the best melodeath records ever

As you said, just go to the other end of the spectrum = Beyond the Dark Sun. Two and a half minutes shouldn't be too long.

Thing about wintersun is, that theres always a really good story behind..and these need to be told. In Sons of Winter and Stars for example its the story of a lifetime finding urself in the struggle. On the first listen it might appear a little bit long..but this is changing after listen to it the second time..third time..and so on.. ;)

Refreshing bit of honesty there. As others have said, try some songs from the first album. Starchild and winter madness are great. It's not entirely impossible that you will return to this song in time, and you will come to love it as we all do. It's a grower.

Great reaction! I totally understand the view of long songs with different parts in it. Even if I have listened this song many times, there are sections I think could be left out, but I still listen the whole song. This is Wintersun, and this is what they do \m/ I think that I won't be suggesting the Moonsorrow songs Jäästä syntynyt / Varjojen virta or Tuleen Ajettu maa ....

Progressive metal tends to be like that, having too many awesome parts in one song that only happen once, like the riff at 5:56. One of the few things i really don't like about progressive metal, but also the thing that makes me love bands like this. I totally get why it isn't very popular or liked by the masses. EDIT: I think you would enjoy the self-titled wintersun album. Most of the songs follow a more standard structure and are about 7 1/2 minutes. If nothing else check out Winter Madness and Beyond The Dark Sun.

Make sure you check the Remastered version of the first album too. The mixing/mastering isn't the best on the original.

This is a great song, but sometimes it gets a bit repetitive. I had to subscribe, because you stated a honest opinion instead of just licking the Wintersun fans. Opinions matter and it's good to have different opinions spoken out. Now I go checking out, what else you have reacted to.

I get that you may not like long songs for whatever reason, but to call this song "unnecessarily" long is completely incorrect! Would you mind expanding on which parts of the song were "unnecessary"? That's just your personal preference talking, not an actual criticism of the song!

Faraz Oloumi I see your point! It was actually from both a personal and critical standpoint though. I think that there were a lot of parts that didn’t necessarily serve the song overall. I am going to endeavour to listen to more Wintersun and check out some shorter songs and see if they catch my attention!! Thanks for checking out my video and don’t forget to subscribe!! A better long song from them would be eternal darkness (Autumn). I kinda feel this is one of their weaker songs because of repetition. I think of them as being very good at avoiding repetition, yet this falls short of that in a way. I still like it, but it took a few times of hearing it myself before I really started to appreciate it. Eternal darkness has no repetition, for example, and actually progresses amazingly

Far too long? It wasn't long enough.... I've watched your video too long for a crap review. You had a video for over 16 minutes where you had no input, yours was worse than theirs. Just watching and uploading a video doesn't make you a youtuber. SMH. A one shot reaction with no real input doesn't make this a valid reaction or a reason why you should get monetized on it.
