People also need to remember that injuries are worse the older you get and they take longer to recover from. Observe what happened to Roger and Rafa near the end. I’d say at this point, Novak is going to need some luck to get to 25. I hope he does but if he doesn’t he can be content with a spectacularly successful career.

@@kevinmcfarlane2752He has already achieved everything possible and he has broken all records. He doesn't need to win another GS. Did he address the booing? It wasn’t the whole crowd. I heard a lot of cheers. I can understand some people being unhappy. He knew he had a serious injury, and chose to play rather than withdraw. But Wimbly and US Open are fast courts where I believe your chances are highest with your ability and variety. And maybe take Aus Open out of your equation( I know it is tough to talk negatively about your most successful slam) as the hostility and %age of obnoxious fans are worst there. It is called Down Under after all. You have earned big number of fans in US with your individuality, strive for excellence. and brits are at least far more well behaved than Aussies.

Ah yes, booing a 24-time Grand Slam champion who's given everything to tennis, including playing through countless injuries, because his body finally said "enough"... Pure class, Australia! 👎 Nothing says "thank you for making our tournament prestigious" quite like jeering at someone who's won it 10 times. Te felicito y agradezco por lo que haz hecho. Campeón!!! desde Castelar, Argentina. Un gran abrazo, extensivo a tu familia.

I'm sorry for Djoker, my favorite tennis player. *I don't think Nole can win his 25th Grand Slam now (the dream is over), because the French Open (the next G.S.) is the most tiring tournament in the world* (3/4/5 sets on clay is too much for a 38 years old player on May, especially against Alcaraz, Zverev and Sinner now). This A.O. was his last chance. Maybe he can win a Master 1000 title, his 100th title in total. Now winning Wimbledon at his age (38 years old when the tournament begins) is impossible with Alcaraz around (maybe Nole can reach the SF), like the next A.O. (in 2026) and the next US Open with Sinner around, and also the French Open is too tiring for Nole at his age. Only a complete recovered 100% Djoker in his 2023 form again can do it, but it's almost impossible now. Change my mind. For me the Olympics gold medal was Nole's swan song and the testament of his greatness in tennis. *Thanks for everything, G.O.A.T.! I will stop following tennis when you will retire.* Alcaraz and Sinner (and maybe also Fonseca, the third of the new Big 3) will also be able to win 40 Grand Slams and dominate in the next years. By now the golden era of tennis will be over, the greatest era of the immortal Big 3 (Djoker the G.O.A.T., Roger the Great and Rafa the king of clay). *We lived in the Big 3 era of tennis. Be happy for this.* Best wishes, greatest hero and champion of tennis, and best wishes to you too, Zverev. I hope you win the title, your first Grand Slam.
