Firstly, this was tremendously helpful video and I appreciate you making it. Like many others, I plan to apply for the 300/100 partnership visa. I've already applied for my 600 class tourist visa (12 months) in preparation for my move to Melbourne. Very similarly I'm worried about having to leave and return multiple times while waiting for 300/100 class to be approved. I question weather its wise to apply for the partnership visa while awaiting the 600 class visas approval. I've since recommended for my partner to apply for the sponsorship portion of the 300/100 class visa (due to recent changes in Feb) so we can get the ball rolling. - As far as the 600 class application: Should I include more than just my passport info as an uploaded document? If so, what would you recommend? (Was considering bank statements for financial security etc). - Do you think it's wise to move my life to Melbourne on a 600 class visa while waiting for 300/100? I and my boyfriend are planning to apply for the offshore partner visa right after we get officially married, but will conduct all the celebrations after since im leaving to Australia soon and we want to lodge an application as soon as possible. Could that be taken poorly by the immigration department (that we got married right before applying and not having any weddings photos yet etc.?) Also, we live in his parents house and don't pay bills together, he pays the electricity/water bills that are adressed to his parents names and i sometimes buy food. In worried that this is not enough evidence that we split up the finances. We do have one savings account together though. I recieved my grant in September 2021.it takes a VERYYYY long time to recieve a grant from the Australian immigration. You should've applied Onshore and not outside Australia in order to be able to stay with your husband/partner. I applied onshore it took me about 4 years to get granted meanwhile I stayed in Australia on a Bridging Visa A until my Grant in September 2021. Applied in September 2018 and got Granted for Permanent residency/Permanent Partner visa(809) in September 2021... Takes forever and I feel sorry you didn't see your hubby for that long but since the pandemic they take their time to grant and process applications dunno why... Good luck for your aplication !

Hello, I just had a few questions on this same visa: Who should write which statement? There are so many documents to write. I am planning on applying for this visa by myself :) Hopefully, I will get it right. Have gathered the evidence. Just wanted to check what statements should the sponsor write and what statements should the applicant write? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you

The statement needs to be written by both you and the sponsor separately and attach them to your application. Right one statement each describing how you met, how your relationship developed, how do you see your future together, what are your future plans etc. Along with this attach other supporting documents such as joint invitations to social events, photographs, trips together, any receipts that has both your names, your travel tickets together, your wedding invitation card, pictures with friends and family, your marriage certificate etc, and that should be enough.

Yes, I arrived on tourist visa and applied for 820/801 the same day. I have to pre- warn you: tourist visa is 3 months valid, after 3 months the bridging visa will be active, which usually you have full rights to work 😉

Hello While applying for 600, we got a letter from my employer stating that I was on leave and would return to work on a specific date, we also wrote a letter stating how my family is in India and I would want to stay with them. It shouldn’t be a problem for you, I guess they will grant it easily! All the best 🤞

I didn't provide my Medical before they requested me for one. Because it is available for 1 year then after 1 year it expires and you have to redo another one and pay again so my advice is that you provide the BUPA medical only when they contact you for it. They will call you and ask you for it then you can provide it once they ask not before otherwise you will have to pay around 500 bucks for nothing. I applied for my visa in 2018 after my 1 year Working holiday expired in 2017 and they asked for Medical in 2021. Upload everything required for the application when you submit your application except Medical/BUPA. Believe me if you are on a tight budget it's the best you can do. I applied for Partner Visa in 2018 and got granted in September 2021...4 months after they requested my BUPA examination. So best you can do is wait until they call to request your medicals. Also,they will call on an "Unknown number" or "Masked number" always pick up whenever you recieve one. Could be them.
