Tyres…. Yamaha factory team are using Dunlop’s this year. There off the pace due to the tyres and they know it. Dunlop Riders are not happy and have made it clear

The Ducati absolutely backed off down the main straight overtaking the mustang, he also deliberately ran it wide to let the mustang past at the safest point on the track. Cars are faster around tracks, but this was deliberately to keep this particular bike from humiliating this particular car

I would not say all cars are faster than all bikes around a track. It depends on which bike and which car and who is behind the controls, as it should.

@@smoke05s well you’re right, motorbikes would be the fastest thing in the world around a track if you removed all downforce/ground effect from cars. F1, Aussie Supercar, any others, would all lose to bikes without the aid of downforce and it shows just how insanely well engineered bikes are to even be close with zero (the winglets for braking on a bike don’t count) downforce
