A good movie that held my interest all the way through. The robots reminded me of the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots toy. I was 10 years old when that toy hit the shelves back in 1964. I admit that when the two robots were fighting I was hoping to see Red Rocket or Blue Bomber knock the other robot's block off.

huuuum... perhaps this movie was just entertaining to watch a first time , but compared to the 1989 one , it's sadly a different experience . Robert Dyke, the same guy who directed the first Moontrap movie, also really directed this , for some reason his style has dramatically changed. seriously why he didn't retake the ominous atmosphere and the gory effects which were presents in the first movie? why he put bad CGI effects for the moon environments , the robots and the ships? they looked more realistic in the original movie also , even the earth was in an accurate distance to the moon, unlike in this movie where it looks too closer. the story is much more complex also, and the acting is often more ridiculous. this is sad how people change in the 21th century. The first movie was really well directed despite its limited budget and its particular acting, it has a dark synth ambiance which has its charm , and had also fascinating alien architectures and ships but in this sequel, nada... i found this sequel less enjoyable to watch . it looks much more like a B movie than the first. that's sad how the potential is destroyed

Well. Lots of lessons to be learned, for example Father God is our lover (not just one persons) and that together, all in one, we bring forth life. There were points that frustrated me, either directed in that way or...I will not criticize as I followed through to the end and loved the message. I thank you for your work. God bless.

We are crossing the river of time Milky Way as we speak. We live on a 1,000 mph west to east rotating planet. In a solar system that eclipses the center of our galaxies electromagnetic gravitational Milky Way. In an electric universe. Which causes EMP pillars of fire, Oort cloud comet impacts and global cataclysmic Tsunami's to get pulled around the planet east to west at 800 mph every 12,000 years for the 1,000 years it takes to cross our galaxies Double torus galactic plane milky way. Co2 is not nor has it ever caused earth's climate to change. Temp is rising first and CO2 follows. Cause and effect. CO2 + H20 + Electromagnetic energy of the galaxy via the Sun creates life. Earth is a 4.5 Billion year old closed loop that self regulates by combining CO2 with H2O to capture EM energy of the galaxy via the Sun. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. On this planet. All EM energy comes from the Double Torus we call the Galactic Nucleus via the Sun to us. For what does it benefit Man/HUMANITY to gain the whole world (After the Great Year Resets it) only to lose your SOUL?" The road to hell is paved with good intentions in these the END TIMES due to increased EM energy from eclipsing the MILKY WAY for the next 1,000 years. Praise Jesus he was the Good SHEPHERD who died to deliver the NEW COVENANT for all of HUMANITY. The 240,000 year rotation of the galactic bulge the (Galactic Milankovitch cycles) cause our climate cycles. With ice ages at aphelion and tropical ages at perihelion every 60,000 years. Every 12,000 years half the Precession of the 7 north stars Jesus held in his hand to warn US our solar system eclipses crosses over the center of our galaxies double torus electromagnetic gravitational plane (Milky Way) for a 1,000 years causing the END TIMES with EMP pillars of fire brimstone, Oort cloud comet impacts and global east to west cataclysmic Tidal Was that wash over the continents and freeze into the continental glaciers lowering sea levels. The last time our solar system eclipsed the Milky Way was 12,000 years ago according to geological, archeological, topographical, Oral history, Astronomical/Astrological history. Younger Dryas boundary layer, Clovis people, Sphinx water erosion, Gobekli tepe/Derenkuyu. The planet doesn't lie (Omission) unlike man. Covid like CO2 is yet another comfortable LIE built upon yet another inconvenient truth. The Baby Boomers who were born en mass 76 years ago are starting to die en mass from the usual suspects of seasonal flu which leads to pneumonia and old age. The MASK of the BEAST to Buy or Sell is a pretext for the depopulation vacc + 5G FINAL SOLUTION before crossing the Milky ay Resets the planet. It takes 10 years to develop a vaccine IF and only IF you can isolate the virus. Which they can't because it is the seasonal Flu virus which changes every season. Don't let the Narcissistic Evil ones Divide and Conquer you by race, creed and religion in these the END TIMES due to the Precession of the 7 north stars Jesus held in his hand to warn US. Jesus loved all races because there is only one race, the HUMAN race with only one minority the INDIVIDUAL human. Praise Jesus he is the only one who can UNITE all of humanity with the New Covenant he died to deliver in these the END TIMES.

First, I was prompted to write this comment after someone responded to your comment saying, the movie blew and you did not know what you were talking about - which I was taking issue with. For whatever the reason, said comment is now gone, but here is my rebuttal. “Pretty solid” is a fair descriptor for this low budget flick, especially if one is aware that ‘pretty’ is an adjective and a synonym for the word ‘moderate’. A review to follow: “Moontrap received negative reviews from critics. The movie holds a 29% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.[2] IMDb gives the movie a 5 out of 10.[3] DVDtalk had a higher opinion of the movie, stating that for a low budget picture it often exceeds expectations. [4] In its review of December 27, 1989, Variety stated "Moontrap is a very entertaining though highly derivative sci-fi adventure ... this one's a goodie ... Moontrap is exciting and suspenseful."

@@upstairs1307 They sure left a lot of room for expansion. Star Trek Genesis Project was put on the back burner after terra-forming an asteroid cave. They never picked up the thread again. Puts several theories of pre-Eden stories back on the map. One of the friezes on a buried temple on the Gaza Plateau displayed Leo the constellation at 23 degrees above the horizon. Running the calendar backwards calculation included for the tilt wobble Leo rose above the horizon to 23 degrees 14700 years BC. Hmmm.... there is a Utube about the theory.

I Kid you not this movie saved my relationship with my husband . We were basically at each other’s throats so to speak. But just like a freak accident we were both stuck on a train 🚂 and the guy next to us lended us his laptop that had tons of illegal downloaded movies. He fell asleep and we basically watched these movies and one of them was this one and it was in 18:09 that really showed us love endures all and we needed to cherish one another. If you were ever doubting your relationship ? Then watch this movie. At 1:11:50 it really made me cry and think about how important our relationship was to me. That scene was just so touching.

The reason was they were making a new world for humanity. That was the meaning of the last message. The moon would now support life.

Any ideas on what the title had to do with the movie? I suspect nothing. They had a limited budget and funnelled as much as they could into SFX, leaving less for, say, the script. It was fun to watch, entertaining, perfect for watching at a drive-in. I'm sure there are still some around.

Is that the Gary Jones of Stargate:SG-1 ? BTW, Good story. I look beyond all the dressing and focus on the story itself. I grew up reading a lot of SF. Unfortunately, reading is becoming a lost art.

Liked it. Good story line. For me it was a bit predictable but that actually made it feel satisfying. The cgi was very low budget but the two main actors i feel made up for it. "Mr Shefield" as "Richard" played the bad guy very well.

Charles Shaughnessy, one of the stars of the once-popular tv show "THE NANNY", who plays the villain in this 2017 movie, is coming back from being away from acting for four years. I guess you have to take whatever's offered to you when you do that.
