This was aussie tennis at its peak. Ash barty just won the Aus Open title that she so badly wanted in the women's singles final, and an all-aussie men's doubles final with the fan favourite Kyrgios. Barty would then announce her retirement in march leading into indian wells. How it all changed so dramatically

Compared with the Italian crowds? You have to be joking. The last year in Rome, Paris and Spain have been a disaster. Heckling off the scale. Fritz, Meddy, Tiafoe...anybody they don't like having a frightful time. Just sick.
