She is such a refreshing breath of fresh air in this stale atmosphere of modern-day cut-throat sports culture. There has been too much emphasis--even public demand--for athletes to be like medieval "warriors" whose only goal should be to vanquish the opposition. When I watch Naomi play, I not only get to admire her talent but also appreciate the beauty of the sport of tennis. Naomi isn't trying to be the poster girl of tennis, she's just the natural darling of the sport because of the way she plays it with a lot of sincerity and genuine passion. So press guys give her a break, will you? Stop treating her like a thoroughbred race horse who can't improve its run without being whipped. If we somehow manage to ruin this girl, it's going to take a really long time for another one like her to come along. Naomi's a rare gem the whole sporting world should treasure and not grind down to a million meaningless carats of diamond dust.

Some of the questions placed before Naomi such as staging drama appear inappropriate and irrelevant.

The darling of women's tennis. Glad she got all the attention for all the right reasons. She was robbed of the spotlight at US Open by that whoever her name was.!

She says she had dreams of winning the tournament but that every time she has a dream and accomplishes it she feels like it's not real in a strange sort of a way... Interesting.

She inferred in her post match interview that she was ready to go into another set at the end of the third ! That is how zoned in she was ! So, to zone straight back out is not at all easy for some, I guess. QScary ! More to come, Naomi !

Wtf, she's funny, charming, honest. And no matter the cringe-worthy question, she owns it. Clearly, the smartest person in the room.

Huge congratulations Naomi for your second Grand Slam win! I was cheering for you, but after you lost your serve twice and second set as a result of that, I was afraid you would not be able to come back, I admit it. You had a big advantage, 3 match points on her serve ; you say she is supposed to hold the serve but you were so close anyway even after that because you had your own serve which did not work at that moment. Most people probably would not win that kind of match because it takes a lot of mental toughness and you did just that. It means you have a champion mentality and that is something. Well deserved win, keep improving and stay true to yourself.

I love her response to the first question. She hates the Italian reporter. 😂😂

Her meditational and relaxation skills were not addressed by these brilliant reporters. It is a big part of her game her concentration skills is what won her back to back Grand Slams.

Pete Sampras was dead boring in his interviews from beginning to end. He just seemed to squirm each time. He never changed...because he did not get into tennis to be a good public speaker ! We are all OK with that. Would he have a got a few more sponsors if he was more convivial and eloquent. Sure. But that was never his personality...and it will neither be Naomi’s. And Naomi, despite my advice of getting some Handling the Media training, just keep having fun !
