I bet these journalists can't wait to get to Osaka's press conference as she always bring joy & laughter into the room. Great win against Sevastova

ManPursueExcellence - well said. Naomi expresses herself very well and is honest. Sometimes she even gets asked intrusive personal questions and she still tries to respond with humour regardless. It's rather a shame that some press actually criticised her public speaking. I like the fact that Naomi pointed out that public speaking is a skill that some people train for. Naomi is so emotionally intelligent. No press can break her. If anything their questions enable deep reflection and as we can see sometimes emotional release when she is most exhausted after the big game. 👏💞 I wish Naomi continued success and all that is good.

An absolutely adorable young lady! I loved the way she replied in English every time a question was asked in Japanese too. She was aware that the people watching would be more familiar with English. Very thoughtful indeed.

“Why don’t you think people care about you?” Lol what 😂 no wonder she was taken aback.
@louern1235 жыл бұрын
he totally misunderstood what she said. she just said that strangers in japan don't necessarily pay that much attention to random people on the street. she did not mean people don't care about her lol.
@ksm2735 жыл бұрын
In Japan, people respect each other's privacy a lot. -- You have to because there are so many people walking by you all the time and everywhere. So even people notice Naomi, they will try not to show that. They, for example, would not suddenly bring out a tennis ball and ask her to sign. Doing so would be considered rude. So, the point is that everyone in Japan knows Naomi, like hers and cares about her.

If she wins the QF and Serena wins too, AO 2005 semi between Serena and Sharapova will recall ? The 3rd meeting after Sharapova led 2-0 in 2004 ( probably the same thing will happen to Serena and Osaka ? )

Why Japanese questions are really long . "But really found it an interesting language

Actually I think the japanese questions were the only questions that really matters and that were really about her game. The english speaking questions were all asking how she feel walking around in public now she is famous, or what her experience is in haiti or if she is aware that there are alot of cameras in the hallway......really weird questions to ask a tennisplayer at a press conference when she has just finished a match....
