After watching this and driving there quite a few times to go skiing, I have to say it's one of the most impressive drives in Europe. The great views, steep curves and heavy traffic always make it a terrific drive. Thank you for the video.

I love Austrian roads like you can drive 1300 metres above sea level, then in a tunnel under a 2km of rock, and you dont even know it, like a normal highway. Only my atmospheric engine felt the altitude :) Wish we had these kind of roads in CZ

How common are roadworks in Austria? Are lane closures/reductions as common as in Germany?
@EuropeanRoads4 жыл бұрын
Road works like this are pretty common, though A13 had a pretty large number of them last summer. I suppose they can only work half the year there. A13 is over 50 years old, so it does require a lot of attention, especially considering the amount of bridges.

Vielen Dank

In short: dashcams for surveillance are not allowed, recording of scenic roads and blurring license plates is permitted.

0:22 What is this 'bridge' good for? And is their requirement to have a Vignette on the Brennerautobahn since only at 9:11 you'll see signs pointing out the Vignetterequirement.
@EuropeanRoads4 жыл бұрын
You don't need a vignette on the Brenner Autobahn, because it has a separate toll.
@djzombek2 жыл бұрын
@@EuropeanRoads Hi. And where to pay the separate toll? Is there any Point on the Autobahn? Or do I need to buy a separate ticket somewhere on gas station?
@borstenpinsel5 ай бұрын
@@djzombek6:50 is where the toll gate Schönberg can be seen before the video cuts to after the toll gate. This is where you pay your toll for the entirety of the Brenner Autobahn from Innsbruck to the Italian border, or like in this video, northbound as well. If you access the Brenner Highway via a country road (e.g. coming from Germany via Garmisch-Partenkirchen), you don't need to buy a Vignette. If you drive on any other Austrian Highway you need a Vignette.(there are a few exceptions - some short routes where you don't need a vignette or toll (near Bregenz for example) and some Highway sections like Brenner Highway that have their own toll. For example Tauern tunnel and Karawanken tunnel).

I dont understand why its designated as motorway (A) while new awesome Vienna bypass is designated as expressway (S). This road have sharp curves and dont have hard shoulder on much of its trail. if any road needs to be named as expressway, its rather brenner than vienna bypass (S1)

Not as long as I feared... It added around an hour of editing time. I use the cookie cutter + gaussian blur mode in a separate video track. The rendering time is much longer though.

Is blurring the carplates automatic by the camera or what? It's extremely annoying. It's not a private house, but cars on public roads that you would see the carplates anyway, so it's really idiotic to blur them out.
@thorsteinj4 жыл бұрын
He edits them out as explained in an earlier comment. The internet is really good at collecting data, much easier than physically walking or driving around and that is one good reason to cover it up. There are server farms around with just the task of OCR skimming such videos just in case the information is worth something.

hi, this may be the most enjoyable road video on KZbin 😎 Great motorway and scenery, fast speed, engaging music. I hope you can refilm this again soon in 4K. Even better would be a 360° camera recording 🔅😋 they are great for scenic videos, though quite expensive. And if you could drive faster,, as fast as others who pass you, that would be perfection 🤩

So there's no speed limit and no police on the autobahn ? You can go as fast as your car will go. I see you must be in a new Mercedes and driving so slow like a granny. Open up your pedal and see if you can handle going as fast as your car will go. Let your luxury car go so fast to where it goes airborne or a eighty knots and rotate !
