Christian makes the live drumgrooves behind Depeche Mode so good. He is such a great drummer. I would love to see some soundcheck footage from him. And see how his drumkit is put up for a D.M. gig. I'm wondering who his drumtech is...

Anyone who says you can't get a good recording with just 2 microphones has never been in a great sounding room with live musicians and only had with them their own two ears to hear/capture it. Be suspicious of any recording, mix or mastering engineer who is not also an experienced musician - they don't REALLY know what it is that they are telling you they do know. How can you recreate, transcribe or translate any moment when you don't even know what that moment is? You can't.
