Some really nice, and unique build solutions make this probably the most accurately proportioned X Wing. Not a fan of the massive gaps in the fuselage when in attack mode. Much less prevalent in a smaller scale modes. Nice to see more inverted tiles. With so many snot building techniques it's high time Lego relied more on inverted parts to cover more untiled surfaces effectively.

Well it depends what you consider a UCS set to be. The last iteration of this set doesn't have UCS branding on the box so if you take that into account there are only two

theres like 900 lego x wings, why dont they make something original, Lego used to be creative, now there like bethesda's Todd howard, just re-releasing Skyrim every 6 months

The one big takeaway from this set for me is the inverted 4x8 tile. Game changer

The Red 5 was awesome... no need to try to improve with yet another re-release, IMO. This set looks great, but its really not that different from the Red 5... just seems like a wasted UCS release. We only get 2 new sets each year, why a 3rd X-Wing? How about a re-release of the Vader's TIE... or the B-Wing... or T4 Lambda Shuttle ? Great build though, dude! 🍻
