The Kaiserschutzen are a major part of my La Grande Guerra studies. Your related articles are excellent, I learned a lot. The Italians called the M95 Mannlicher "ta-pum" from the sound the bullet makes going by, if you have ever been shot at, even wrote a song about it

That mountaineer cape is absolutely awesome! I love the look of it. Is that a hood on its back? And doesn't the cape actually attach to the shoulder boards instead of just sitting on the shoulders, or am I wrong?
@postcardsofhistory19142 жыл бұрын
That is indeed a hood on the back. There is a way to attach to the shoulders, and that is a more proper way to wear it than how I was, although both can work. Truth be told, I couldn’t figure out the right way to attach it to the shoulder boards. This was my first event wearing it.

Would love to know where you found that uniform and if you know how I can start a Croatian uniform from the empire.
@russelmurphy48682 жыл бұрын
Out of curiosity, where are you located? I'm secretary of a group in Brisbane, Queensland.
@postcardsofhistory19142 жыл бұрын
Reference my websites in the “about” section of the KZbin channel. I have a comprehensive list of vendors and the items they sell. A Croatian uniform, especially late war, would not be any different from the rest of the army aside from facing colors and possibly the cap badges you are wearing. Best of luck.

Ah. Understand completely. If you were in the Brisbane, Queensland area I was going to extend an invite to our group. We'd love someone to do a Croatian impression.

@@russelmurphy4868 I have has some ideas, my great great grandfather fought in the war and wore a small tri-color ribbon on his Austro-Hungarian hat. I just need to find an affordable uniform along with some gear. Thank you anyway!

I'm trying to build my Austro Hungarian kit. Do you know where I can buy an M.1917 Berndorfer helmet?
@medikman6434 Жыл бұрын
They are extremely rare obviously but every now and then varusteleka a Finnish company will put some up for sale that the German and Austrian military gave them before and during world war 2. I believe the only thing they did to them is change the liner and chin strap but I’m not 100% sure about what they changed
