He's right. Even without Kohli, it was a team built by Virat since 2014. Led by Rahane, Pujara to hold fort, Aswin, Rohit playing in Gabba, Siraj, Pant. Now, its mainly debutants and doesnt have a team ideology because India has entered a transition period yet again.

Why would they play paddikkal is beyond me. Play Jurel at 3 and Jadeja at 6. Jadeja has a test hundred in England and he has been the best Indian batsman for a few years.

The good news is that this series will be make or break for several players. Too see Indian team as individual superstars like Pant and Bumrah is incorrect. If India plays as a team then India will do well. Team over individuals. NZ is a great example, no superstars but plays well as a team. India will have to learn it.

Sorry but how was india in full force in 2021 .....shami was literally injured in the first test itself ....and by the last test siraj was leading the attack along with saini , natarajan and thakur along with sundar being the lone spinner who till very recently had a reputation as a T20 bowler ....... And whenever anyone talks about 2018 win , why belittle it ...only Smith was missing actually , Warner wouldn't have made a lot of difference anyways ....on those lines let's just bash aus winning WTC 2023 since india was literally playing without bumrah , pant , Rahul ....
