Honestly a parrying mechanic is just so common at this point of time it is in almost all roblox fighting games and most licensed console fighting games. AUT not having it at first gave the game a bit more of it's identity. If parrying mechanic gets added let us hope to god that it is not like in some games where *every move is parryable* including guard breaking long ranged projectiles and m1s or even block bypassing ultimate moves like Tusk beatdown.

Fun fact: This was already a thing since the release of New Universe in the form of a bug. If you guys remember when blocking negated TS completely because you didn’t get block broken, then that is what old parrying looked like. It was even a thing after it got patched by letting go of block just after getting hit by a move. This parry is an actual feature rather than a bug

Perfect Blocking for AUT wont be a good idea tbh. Might make a video on this. But some abilities alr have really obvious moves with high startup. Making them perfect blockable will ruin those abilities. For example : Gojo. Like all of its moves are so obvious anyways. Pblocking would legit ruin gojo. And its called perfect blocking fr. Not parrying, parrying is actually something else. If u played or watched gameplay of Sekiro or even Cuphead u will know

also parrying is way more unpractical in AUT than YBA. I don't really know what triggered this, but AUT's combat is mostly combos and blocking isn't a huge factor. It also doesn't help that the block button is in a place hard to press quick (which is X) also if you press it like during end lag/stun and hold it, it doesn't work. Its hard to explain, but basically you can't hold down the Block button during a combo so blockable combos (can be checked through the block dummy) is actually pretty much true in actual players.

Lmb V3 is so boring because it's so slow. Yasuo and Yone have extremely slow m1s that don't even feel like swords now, they just feel like heavy bats. And bats in YBA are faster too. 💀

if theyre gonna revamp combat entirely, then id assume theyll either do one of 2 things: Keep lmb v3, but revamp the moveset of ALL old stands/abilities in the game to work with lmb v3 (like how ws, wr, love train all feel fine to use with lmb v3) Or make lmb v4, which would most likely be similar to lmb v1 Given that they have already revamped whitesnake and are in the process of revamping twhv, c moon, and some others, i wouldnt be surprised if they end up just revamping all abilites so i say dont lose hope in aut yet, at least until they show more of the new combat

It's perfect block it's not parry. Perfect block is perfect time blocked move which gives a lot of stun to the opponent when he uses special guardbreak move which can be pbd, but parrying is also about perfect timing but it just canceles the opponent moves not giving em stun yet which gives you only about 1 sec or even lower amount of time to do something, and ur still not guaranteed to hit em yet (the perfect example is deepwoken)
