Great Video bro. Yes agree. New RC. They DID give the "A" and "B" buttons some functions but nothing great really. Yes the screen is great but needs to be brighter. EXP and Sensitivity settings are good but not perfect yet. I believe the 34mp/h were taken away because it wasn't be able to justify proper stoppage with the sensors which were toned down a bit with updates. Yes color science is terrible in Logs. I also would like to add "More Intelligent Flight modes" to your wishlist. The given modes are very basic and could improve or have something way better than what is given now example would be like dolly mode. Also a smoother zoom and gimbal tilt would be in order. Totally agreed and endorse the above comment. Lol. No seriously I totally agree with this statement brother you are spot on. DJI took the MA2 and added that smooth zooming so you can do dolly zooms manually. I really love this manual dolly zoom feature capability and own 2 drones because the one can't do it yet lol... Autel Evo 2 cough cough. Also, I didn't know that Autel took away the 34 mph mode? I didn't notice. Not im going to put it up and have a look lol. Wait shoot its 25 outside. Wish I was in Hawaii. I still prefer the DJI mavic 2 pro because this is too heavy, the battery is not that efficient.

EVO 2 has poor dynamic range under the daylight. The dark parts of the picture are overly dark with poor clarity.

I’d like to see a dynamic return to home point - like ‘return to controller’ - so that it will land at the boat, or destination, instead of trying to go back to the original launch point. Do you know if the ‘auto land if GPS signal is lost’ has been addressed? I don’t want it auto landing on water or trees.

Hi, back buttons have four options since latest firmware update, I use SUGRU around the buttons to stop accidentally pressing them, also around the Vid Record as I was always turning it on and off... Roll the SUGRU like a sausage as you did with plasticine when you were a kid, 3 to 4mm thick and lay it and press it around the button edge.. works a treat... my hate is that the EVO 2 controller will work with the 2 and the Evo 1 but the EVO 1 controller only works with the EVO 1 and not the 2, so you dont even have a back up if needed, assuming you have both of course... To hold the controller I use a laptop bag shoulder strap, the clips will fit into the end of the handles, between the two sides with a bit of gentle persuasion, once in place and around your neck it tends to keep the handles open as well, two benefits for price of one... Totally agree on the controller. I to am a pincher and it drives me bat shit crazy when the arms fold in on me. They have added OA on/off, AE lock/unlock, pitch set 0/90 deg, and Map view/ Camera view to the assignable A/B buttons go to remote control then remote control customizable buttons. Hope this helps someone. I am having an issue while doing hyper lapse in aperture priority. For some reason it follows the sun and then tilts my horizon. Lol funny now, but not after I froze my ass off for a hyper-lapse sunset. I wish there was a way to save a couple different profiles so you could get to camera and flight settings the way you like it for different situations. I think you could dial it in quicker and better every time that way. Thank you again for everything you do. Keeps company’s honest and pushes them to make it better.

have you seen the sky fire aerial controller enhancement kit, it makes the evo controller feel like it should have from the beginning, there is a wing that goes between the handles that keeps them solid and tight and it has built back button bumpers that stop accidental presses, it's not cheap but it's worth every penny in my opinion

As to the handles folding in, the LifThor Mjolnir for EVO I & II tablet mount fixes that issue. It's a little pricey but it is a high-quality accessory that works very well.

Ken, I was hoping Autel might release an update to the EVO II Pro at CES, or at least have some announcement regarding how they expect to handle Remote ID. I'm looking at an EVO II PRo 6K for my primary real estate drone work (and relegating my DJI M2P to backup status), but I'm holding off until I can get an idea of what's coming up. What do you think? Will Autel be releasing any time soon an updated EVO II Pro that incorporates remote ID, or should I just pull the trigger on one and wait for an add-on module? I won't have much commercial work until mid-spring (I live in upstate NY), so I have some time....Thanks for any opinions or advice you might be able to offer. P.S. I'm also hoping for a new controller! ;-)

The ability to take RAW still images in any of the Missions would be a good start plus the ability to record video in either the Rectangle or Polygon Missions.

Good list ! They need a smart controller I got the evo 2 I had a hard time flying it so I flew it back and took it back to Best Buy !! It was a let down.

Hey man, Autel is up to something with the EVO 2. There are a couple of entries on the FCC Grant ID database (one as recently as today, the 20th), that seem to point to something to do with both the controller and the drone. Fingers crossed!

THANK YOU SHARING ABOUT THIS DRONE. MY ONLY BIG COMPLAINT SO FAR WITH MY NEW 30 DAY DRONE CONTROL IS THIS CRAPPY INTERNAL COOLING FAN. NOISEY AS HELL. I SENT THIS BACK. ALOT OF MONEY FOR THIS SHIT. DRONE WORKED GREAT. VERY EXPENSIVE FOR THIS! EXCELLENT DISPLAY AND INFO FROM YOU, MY DJI ARE MUCH BETTER SEEING THIS.

I personally hate the controller too. I bought that metal support system for it and while it does provide a nice platform for a tablet, I can't stop accidentally hitting those dam buttons on the back. I'm hoping they come up with an easy way to disable them. As far as the color profile, I don't shoot in log, but it looks like your footage can easily be fixed with one slider. I have the opposite problem with DJI. I have a Phantom and an Inspire 1 and in lower light, it's always far shifted towards magenta. It took me a while to figure it out, but it's usually one slider on most white balance panels, to fix.

I wish I had watched this before I flew my drone yesterday. Caught an amazing sunset using log, which I am yet to edit. However, I used H.264, not knowing that 10bit was only available in H.265. The only time I used H.265 it did not play properly using my default desktop viewer (VLC). I assume the only advantage of H.265 was the smaller file. Another bug I would like to see fixed is that I cannot connect the smartphone until everything else is up and running. I have seen others have had this same problem. Also, I would like to see an improvement to the way the google map is opened. Not sure why I have such a problem with this, but many times I just give up after several attempts. I think I may have to practice before I go flying next time. All my video has been in 30fps. I notice every now and then there is a little skip or step back or something strange happening. I wonder if it has something to do with a comment made in one of your earlier videos about the need to convert 30fps to 29.97 fps, when editing. Is this something else we should seek?

I'd like to see Autel really focus their efforts on software, both with the firmware and Explorer app, with an emphasis on consistency and nuance. I'd like to not concern myself with having to reset my style settings everytime I turn on the drone from the factory default. A pitch roll setting to ease the EVO II's abrupt stop of its gimbal after panning up or down would be a welcome improvement as well.
