Oliv oil is a common mistake, they use sunflower oil in South America, and it's better. Bitterness of oliv oil, garlic and pepper is too much, that's probably why you had to put that much vinegar to balance it. Also red wine vinegar is the authentic version but apple vinegar is fine too. In Brazil they also add a spoon of sugar, great version !

You’re absolutely right. Olive oil has its purpose but not in a classic chimichurri. Not hating on how others choose to make it but argentinians don’t go out of their way to add olive oil to it. Argentinians give you the side-eye if you add evo. Stick to something neutral.

Good quality olive oil is not bitter, it's only the store bought one because they pick the olives too early. And olive oil is more healthy than sunflower oil because it contain a lot of antioxidants.

I don’t get why all these food and recipe videos start and end with person cooking the food, stuffing it in, moaning, groaning and nodding. We are all here for the recipe, your poor acting skills now make me go find another channel to get said recipe!!

@@RegesterForDinner If your cooking skills are as poor as your acting skills, then that would explain your triggered response, truth hurts huh?? Rather than be original and do something special, you just copied those before you with the stupid head nodding, what do you honestly believe that achieves? Do you really think, folks are going “this is one, look at his reaction, it must be good” and I’m the clown… in all seriousness, cut the silly nodding out… your hairline will thank you!! While we are here No one uses “lol”, well unless you’re a 12 yr old girl. And that would make that hairline…. Critical 👨🏽‍🦲

First off “mate” I’ve been to Argentina and have had chimichurri there and this is very much the real deal. There are multiple variations of chimichurri around South America.

@@akbirmingham6604 agree to disagree my friend. Sadly I won’t be taking culinary advice on South American cuisine from someone who addresses me as “mate”. Feel free to share your authentic chimichurri recipe anytime.

@@RegesterForDinnerthat’s ok “mate “ .. I’m sorry for not addressing to you as (mr that’s been to Argentina ) you have all the right to share your recipes and ideas and what not , but since you posted a content and allowed the comments I would assume you simply allow everyone to comment what they think .. that’s unless you were only expecting praise and likes ! Anyways , not here to argue , you shared your idea and I commented the reality as someone that has some sort of knowledge in Latino cuisine .. but that’s ok . Best of luck to you and my sincere apologies if I offended you MATE (English slang )
