Yesterday I made this paste for the first time. I also followed you recipe for the curry itself. It was by far the best green curry I've eaten so far. Thank you very much :) Could you please tell me how long the paste can be kept in the fridge?
@TasteOfThailand3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Probably will be ok in the fridge for few days but you can freeze it 🙂

You can try adding miso paste - adds a nice, rich umami punch!

What's the name of that green bulb thingy?

Do you mean the kaffir lime?
@laponiec Жыл бұрын
@@TasteOfThailand Yes. Thank yiou very much. Unfortunately, it is not accessible in my homecountry, and I think that it is resposnsible for that specific flavour. I used the dried lime leaves, but still the aroma is not strong enough.

Please could you confirm how many chilli's in your recipe, and the ones you are using appear rather large for Birds Eye Chilli?

Anything bought from a market instead of a grocery chain will be bigger. Use a hand full, or to taste depending on how spicy you like it.

In many recipes there is no turmeric. Is turmeric a correct ingredient? Also peppercorn, should this not be a white peppercorn? Plus coriander roots are missing. I do understand that is hard to get these. I want to make 100% authentic green curry paste and don’t won’t contaminate with replacements. Kind regards
@TasteOfThailand3 жыл бұрын
This recipe has been in my family for generations, turmeric is one of the main ingredients, you can use white or black peppercone, it won't make any difference, and no I don't put coriander root in mine as I was thought 🙂

Coriander root?

Are you commenting this on every video? Obviously it's not an essential ingredient to make an authentic paste.
