Really cool video! The music made it even more intense. And great advertisement for VR in general and Onward in particular. Most vids don't do VR justice because immersion can't be captured by a video, but the suspense and action shown by this video worked very well to give a glimpse of what Onward is about.

i know i’m a bit late on this, but when your playing assault or uplink, i would advise the play competitive and not casual. i’ve noticed it’s a lot more mature and not a lot of kids, which makes sense. only bad thing about competitive is that most of the people who play in those lobby’s are crazy good lol

When being shot at the black going around your screen means you are taking fire not that you have been hit. If I grey it means you have been hit. If it hit your armour the gray will go away on its own, if not you will hear a heart beat .

One thing I love about the a.i. in onward is that they aren't omniscient. They have to check the room side to side rather than just going into the room already staring into your eyes no matter how high you put the difficulty.

imo the best gun after the weapon manipulation update is the G3A3 because it includes the HK slap and the speed reload. Reloading it is basically gun porn.

You should try onward 1.7 if you're playing on steam, in co-op the npcs don't spawn mid game instead they all spawn at the start of the round so they can't spawn in areas you've cleared already. The ai is much better the ai also get's smokes, frags, and guns with random attachments that you can pick up.

Great video but you got some little details wrong, the AK12 has been in the game for a long time now and didn’t get added this update. Additionally the AK reload has always been "realistic" when it comes to bolt manipulation, the ability to actuate the magazine release with a magazine is the only thing they added to that weapon system

Only worth it if you're playing as a private group. This is completely alien to the average in-game experience of lobbies filled with kids who scream because the developer got bought by Facebook and downgraded the entire game for it to run on the weak Oculus Quest hardware. Don't buy the game expecting it to be like this. Either only play singleplayer or have a group.

Just not sure why you kept hanging around on the ground floor of that three floor building. You are too exposed there and there are too many angles that have to be covered. It's always better to try to draw the enemy into a bottleneck like the staircase. If you stay on the third floor with someone covering the stairwell, you can pick the enemy off from the upstairs windows. Just a thought.

I dislike the HK slapping, it looks tacticool :( I prefer to push it with my thumb as I hold the weapon on ready. Personally I find it more practical. But on my basic training the instructor told me to slap it, I never asked him why and I regret it now. But maybe on MB5 is different, I used G3A4.

That gun has like zero recoil. I dont really see how a VR game could effectively implement recoil since the physical controller isn't moving from the gunshots.

There are haptic stocks that add some recoil. VR isn't a great marksmanship trainer but it's immersive and excels in weapon manipulation mechanics and teamwork/tactics/communication.

Noob question - when you are using your Mag 2 Pro stock for rifles and need to transition to sidearm in-game, how does that work? Is the stock so light that you can use both hands / controllers on the 'grip', or do you sling the stock when transitioning?

@@kruxxme5372 yes. There are cups or mags (cup that you insert your conterool into, or magnets that attach to your controller than can be attached to a gun stock. I have around 5 years of experience with protibe and the switching to using the hands from the stock is very easy and natural. Takes no learning curve to pick up.
