Hi, what I see a lot from big churches is that the pastors just preach and get the people all hyped up but rarely use scripture to substantiate what they are saying so I love that you preach out of the bible and not just out of yourself🙂

Im married to a man that acts like a toddler. I say emotionally immature. Being unequally yoked has been extremely hard but the toxicity is even worse. In the last few months ive felt God calling me to leave. My spouse has been emotionally, verbally abusive & tries to use my faith against me often.😢

I can relate. We are not divorced, but I did leave for same reasons. My mental health affected my relationship with my children, my work and health. It has not been easy being apart because I do love my husband so much, I pray journal read every night. I gave my husband over to God to take the weight off my heart, I don't tell God how to fix him, I pray he enters his heart and convictions, I also pray he brings him a man of God that Adam feels comfortable enough to confide in and listen too. I've learned a lot of my husband's actions come from his past and raising. Being that we wives can become the dumping ground for this type of husband, we have to do what it takes to get strong again and keep our relationship with God, even if some days we scream and cry in a pillow. I also pray for each of my children individually affected by my husband's words and actions and my own for making excuses for it. I have been in my own apartment for about 6months now. It was hard in the begining, but I started consuming myself with making it a small home, working on my health and loving my time studying the word and listening to amazing pastors such as bobby, I continue going to my home church, started a lil hobby, and function better at work. I tell my husband everyday I love him, have a great day, even if I don't get it back. If he has a moment and rage vents on me, I don't respond till next day. Then it's a simple this "I see you had a rough night, I pray today is a great day for you". I used to defend myself and argue back, but you can't when they are like that. Seek help, I'm about to start counseling for verbal abuse and the trauma. It took a long time for me to accept doing it, but I'm ready now. It's all baby steps and rebuilding you. My husband may or may not follow suit. If he does I'll praise God, if not I'll praise God because I'll know I did everything in my power and will also come out stronger. God bless💜

That is precisely what happened to me. My husband got saved and baptized while we dated, but after getting married, his "faith" faded and we became unequally yoked. His addiction to p*rnography was too much and Iwas subjected to verbal and emotional abuse the majorityofour marriage. We will technically be married 12 years July 23rd. He left me 8 months ago and I've never felt more peaceful or closer to the Lord than now... Thank you for this message!!!
