As a Nigerian living in the diaspora, I returned from Kenya this week. My spouse and I compared our expenses on our 2 trips to Ghana last year and our recent trip to Kenya. We both agreed Ghana was expensive. My spouse is Ghanaian. Corruption in Ghana was also more prevalent but that's another issue.

But there isn’t corruption in Nigeria? Kwasia!😂
@realToby9 ай бұрын
@@Ahoto_papa_biYes there is but I don't live in Nigeria and didn't visit Nigeria. Corruption makes things more expensive in an already expensive Ghana. I didn't see that in Kenya/Tanzania. Even Kumasi which is not the capital of Ghana is more expensive than Nairobi which is the capital of Kenya. Ghana is expensive compared to most African countries.
@Ahoto_papa_bi9 ай бұрын
@@realToby its just that when you calling Ghana corrupt and you are Nigerian, its hard to take. You haven’t been to Nigeria but what ever you saw in Ghana, triple that. When I was in Nigeria in 2017, none of the toilets at the airport will flush, it all had someone’s poop in them, that’s how bad it was. And nobody at the airport was doing anything about it.
@markntiri82519 ай бұрын
@@Ahoto_papa_bi let's take the Ghana criticism and work on it to improve things here. There's no reason why things have to be the way they are given the NUMEROUS ADVANTAGES we enjoy as a country. If we produce more food, increase our irrigation capacity so we farm year-round, ban/reduce import of chicken, rice, oil etc so we patronise more made in Ghana stuff, reduce corruption etc etc, the economy would improve, things would be less expensive and we'd become a developed country

Millet has been cultivated in Africa for thousands of years. In Ghana on the coast, the influence of the Portuguese on the culinary traditions is very high. If you want less influenced food, try looking at food videos from Northern Ghana. You can still find some unadulterated foods in the south like the ones made from beans, plantains, yam and cocoyam.
