My heart goes out to this wonderful person and her family. What she says makes me more of a believer of my own religion, Hinduism (Brahmin), where we usually have a 13-day vedic ritual to bid farewell to the departed soul and then burn the body. It is to allow the soul to realize it is dead and move on, at the same time, the living to let go of the departed soul.

Andrea, very well told. I lived in Harrisville - a half mile from this house, and saw you when you spoke at the Pascoag library in town. I have spoken with Norma, and visited Bathsheba's grave. Your words are very articulate and fascinating. I enjoy hearing your stories of the house.

THIS IS AN AMAZING STORY, WE LIVED IN FALL RIVER MASS WHEN I WAS A CHILD, I remember mom and dad going to this house, It was for sale at the time, We got up close to the house and my dad loved it but my momma stopped and said Ed we dont need this house, This home isn't a good one , he asked her what she meant what she said,,,she said something very bad is here and we are not getting this home, and Momma went to the car ,,, I actually loved the house and I was a little girl at the time.. let me put it to you this way,,,, Our family consist of Dad , Mom and 5 little girls ages at that time were 7,8,10,11, and 12 ALL GIRLS. This was before the Perrons bought the house, Might have been around the same time we were looking and they bought it... ,,,,, Donna Ray ( I used my granddaughters youtube page to write this.) Looking at the Perrons pictures of thier family we 5 girls almost favored them when we were children.

triston marie no one listen to this idiot . I've heard interviews of Andrea saying no one else tried buying the house an they are the only ones that called for it . That's why they got it . I'm sure if other people called it would of been harder to buy and someone else would of most likely gotten it . Sooo stop lying little girl .

My uncle passed away several years ago. He was put into a nursing home for some time before his death, and during this time, his farmhouse, which he lived in his entire life, was put up for sale. A young couple with a newborn baby purchased the property. After my uncle`s death, my mother wanted to go to the farmhouse one last time, hoping the young couple didn`t mind, she and my father went to the house. When my mother explained to them the reason she was there and told them of my uncle`s recent death, the woman asked when he had died. My mother told her when Uncle Ted died and her face turned white. She told my mother that starting on the evening of his death, the young couple heard doors open and close, windows opening and closing, footsteps, and the baby would cry. This phenomena went on for three nights, then stopped. We all knew how much Ted loved that house, and wanted to visit it one last time before going to the light.

That’s really sweet actually, your uncle wasn’t haunting to be mean. He just wanted to say his goodbyes one last time. I kinda believe in the supernatural only because my family have had their own experiences. Especially in my childhood house. There was a man who killed himself in my childhood house a decade before my family and I moved in. When we first moved into the house the spirit messed with my dad a little bit but once he knew that we were a nice family I believe he moved on, because nothing else happened after that and I lived in the house for 23 years.

When she said she treated Bathsheba fairly, I had to slap my hand over my mouth and stifle sobs!! Most people wouldn't do that, and that means a lot to me personally. People usually parrot the most dramatic, negative things because it gives them a thrill (or an excuse to give in to the reptilian brain and indulge some very un-evolved urges). But to be that just and fair after being terrorized? You encounter that level of old soul maturity very rarely in one lifetime.

8 Generations of one family living and dying in one house. No wonder it was haunted. I know of another family home with 3 generations of family and there being hauntings there too. Andrea Perron is a brilliant person, so personable, smart and relatable. It's wonderful how she sets the record straight between the silly over the top movie and the reality of what happened which was far worse. Thankyou for the truth.

It should also be taken into consideration that Andrea Perron went out on a limb putting her story out, to the extend of publishing it herself. How many of us have thought or openly stated at on time or another, "I should write a book". Well.......she actually did it. So what if she's not a professional writer? She should be congratulated for having the courage to put herself out like this. That the story has been parlayed into blockbuster film is like hitting a Powerball number. She wins!

I ❤ Andrea she is such a pure soul. Preordained destiny she had here. The fact we all breathe, think, walk, talk and have been born is supernatural.

Stuff like this reminds me of the time was sitting in front of my friend, talking about some show we were watching, and my earring was twisting in my ear by itself. Like, I hadn't touched it, I wasn't touching my head, and I wasn't leaning on the side of my head or anything. It wasn't super long, but I felt my earring do a full turn in my ear :o .......She saw it happen as well. I don't believe in ghosts. At the time I was maybe 15 at most, we were experimenting in things we shouldn't have, just because it wasn't something young girls should tamper with. We had a Ouija board. We weren't fiddling with it at the time it happened, but we were sitting in the place where it happened. There were a few other occasions at the same time period that were unsettling, but I chocked it up to coincidence.

This phenomena is for real. I can say that because I've had experiences with it since childhood. Also. Andrea's remarks in regard to reincarnation, transmigration of the soul or what could be referred to as "spiritual evolution" are accurate. To accuse her of over-promoting her work is absurd. Bringing your work to the public is all about promotion, regardless of it being fact or fiction. If you had gone through something that heavy wouldn't want to write about it? I certainly would!

I,I actually have had odd experiences and dreams before. I remember that, just like in the movie, in my dreams my mom tried so much to kill ME, with a knife. While that, my dad brother and I were running for our lives. Then after that I woke up and knew it was a dream. Also not only that but my friend an I were home alone in her house, and we could see how stuff moved around. Like, we sat on the couch with her dog, and that dog was trying to go outside. We instantly went out with her dog. Also, I could, and can, in our new home, hear strange noises and.. Well I'm stopping there. Thanks for listening.

Wow, I believe this story. Had my own demonic experiences as a child and the voices I heard always mentioned something about 7 people once I remember seeing these 7 people but they were faint, only trying to manifest themselves in our living room. At the time I was 7 years old going on 8 and 13 years later I still feel like the experiences I had in the house effect me. If there's someone here that I can speak to I would appreciate it. I know the bible says that when a demon is cast out it brings 7 demons back with it, coupled with my own experiences and now hearing this is really making me curious as to what the hell I was dealing with and how it may still be affecting me.

The family literally scraped together every dime they could find to move into this house and start a new life. Not everyone has the money to just leave a house that they spent their entire savings on.
I stayed Christmas in an old Rhode Island home the family lived there since the 18th century there were endless mazes of rooms, something was definitely in there I sensed a glimpsed a man, they said “oh that’s just Thomas he used to live up there” they didn’t even know how far back he went in the family lineage lol. They somehow knew I was Scottish like them even though I only found out I was part Scottish years later. That was out there!

Is it possible that the events (War, deaths, possession) etc, caused Bethsheba to perhaps murder her children? Events and feelings from the past can and do influence anyone that lives or visits an area. It's like stepping into the same circumstances, like a time warp. It's frightening and fascinating.

I once had a ghostly experience at a game reserve. Where I felt a strong Male presence we slept there for 2 nights in this house at the game farm . The first night I felt a suction type feeling pulling like almost a vacuum but also a hand going over the sheets and on my legs then my shoulder I then felt a hand caress my hair and my shirt shirt had straps I felt the strap of being pulled down off of my shoulder . I felt so terrible the entire time I felt a sense of violation and I was extremely scared the entire time . I couldn't wait to leave. When I asked the lady if this house is haunted and she said yes there was a man who died in this house and was burried outside the gate to the house and true as Bob outside the house when we drove out there was his tomb stone . Praise God it never followed me . I prayed all the time but it seemed to be very persistant on me . Very strange . I still wonder what this was to this day . I kept closing my eyes I did not want to open them because I did not want to see what it was .

There's a ghost in my summer house because there was a little boy who drown right of my peer into a river. My little cousin always talks about how he became friends last night with a little boy and how he watches us when we sleep. But that's not all. When my mom was young, her and her cousins performed a seance to contact my grandfather who passed away. When they asked to show a sign that a ghost was present, all doors in the place slammed shut. The last part and for me, since I experienced, the scariest part was when my family and cousins were eating dinner with one empty seat. It was normal until the empty seat moved backwards and then forwards as if somebody else was sitting there. I am beyond terrified of that place but I still go every year.

Am I alive? Perhaps i do not know and I am dead? A very dangerous concept for those who are suicidal. This "story" should have a disclaimer.

She is describing "familiar" spirits, not ghosts. A familiar spirit is a spirit from the dark side that follows you around all your life if you have no protection. When their "assignment' dies they sometimes an untimely death they sometimes hang around mimicking the person's life or experiences in order to torment living humans. This lady knows that the spirit realm exists but has chosen to follow a very deceptive way of dealing with it.
