15:52 - an understanding that i might always be *misunderstood* not understood

You will reach a point where you will be understood and feel understood. It takes practice but I know you can do it. Also, it may be comforting to know that everyone is misunderstood at some point in their life. This is normal and that is a good thing. Marcus

I´m 37 years young. You are a lot younger than me but let me tell you; You don´t really need people to understand you. Yes it can be frustrating at times, I understand. Many things in life are frustrating, especially for us with autism. The most important thing is that you understand yourself, which you seem to do pretty well. As you grow older life will become "easier". Have a great weekend Bri. From Sweden with love!

You have summerised everything I feel and go through. I can either be unhappy, masked, and accepted by people or... unhappy being myself, because it's not accepted. It hurts to know that by just being me, I upset people. I will always say something wrong. It's inevitable. So I strain through life as a dialuted version of myself.

It is a battle that I hope one day, many people do not have to fight. But for today, I hope that you, I, and others alike can eventually find a balance that keeps us going and also allows room for peace, joy, and authenticity

Bri, anything is possible. The brain thoughts, and feelings can be developed just like a muscle in the body. You become better and better at expressing a thought. In turn the words you use to communicate become more effective, thus you will not need to use as many words to express a thougt or feeling. All of these things can be developed. With this comes increased ability to be more effective and satisfied with what you say and do. A lot of the things your explaining are not always between the 2 things. You see how I understand? I have so many things to talk to you about. You can do anything! I wish I could talk to you. You are so very interesting to listen to and this is a good thing. Something else about me is that I obtained 2 college degrees in the state of mind you are talking about. Marcus

I think the word invalidated is more it, than the word defeated. I don't think Autistic people feel defeated. We feel invalidated, and wrongly that they have done this to us for no good reason.
