This is such a great message. I get down on myself a lot for what I can’t do because of my sensory issues, but accepting these limitations as part of my life is something I have been working on- it’s not that we can’t improve our ability to tolerate things, but we can’t beat ourselves up for not being able to do certain things right now. I am lucky to have a supportive family who accepts my limits- so why should I not exert that same compassion towards myself? I rarely say anything religious on the internet lol but it is a Catholic teaching that every human is made in the image and likeness of God- so in that respect God is autistic too :) I struggle to reconcile hard times with faith, but have found power in choosing how I respond to my circumstances and the people I can help through my life experiences as God’s gift. He has given you a unique perspective in autism and you are helping others with it- which is awesome.

Thank you for this video. I appreciate your explanation. My daughter is on the spectrum and can’t explain to me her experiences.

I'm new to your post and I thank you for explaining Autism to me in plain English 😊. My granddaughter is 5 and has autism and she's non verbal. Were you non verbal as a child?
