Mama: “Do you have anything else to say, Craig?” Craig: “You’re my dear, old dad!” My heart ❤❤ such sweet memories between a father and son for Father’s Day. We need more accepting people in this world when it comes to the challenges some of us face on a daily basis. Whether that be autism or anything else that affects our day to day life. Craig’s parents go above and beyond!! What wonderful examples of kind hearts, unconditional love, patience and their constant commitment to doing whatever they can to make Craig’s life as happy and meaningful as possible. I know he feels that love!! ❤️ Great job mom and dad, please keep the videos coming, they always make me smile. 😊😊

Since Craig likes to read, I highly suggest the book, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. It's the same story as The Three Little Pigs, but it's told from the Wolfs point of view. It's so funny. When I was a substitute teacher, I must have read that book 1000 times, no joke. The kids loved it, and asked me to read it over and over. It got to the point where I could "read" the book, word for word, without looking at at the pages.

I want to give both you as parents kudos for how you as a couple are handling the challenges in your family. Mine my mom tried to get me help as a young child but my dad was convinced I was "fine". So I finally got to a point in my adulthood that I realized something was going on with me and finally got tested and diagnosed with autism around late 30s.
@warroom17 Жыл бұрын
Has your diagnosis made you feel any differently, or did it help you understand yourself in a more positive way? This is the only channel/community in which I actually read other people's comments and learn so much from others. It's also so nice to see positivity and support in everyone's comment❤

@user-dp5gd6tv9q two of my sons have ASD, my oldest is high functioning or formally known as Aspergers, he got his diagnosis at 16, he had other learning difficulties and was some what of a question mark and although assessed very young they missed it for lack of red flags, he now feels that last piece of the puzzle is finally found and he can understand himself much better with a diagnosis. There is "reason" behind the quirks and it brings answers to to the question "why".

It's always great seeing parents of children with autism taking a proactive approach to their child's condition. Autism wasn't really known about when I was growing up and had a pretty rough upbringing. My parents weren't very patient with me. If you guys ever feel overwhelmed, or feel that you've made mistakes or aren't doing something right, just know that over all, you guys are doing an absolutely wonderful job raising Craig. Hi you guys, I smile every time I see your videos….it reminds me so much of my kids….I worked with autistic children, teens and young adults for over 36 yrs, and just retired. Pertaining to clothing what would happen with some of the kids is not wanting to change clothing. So the parents would find identical clothing. Sometimes it’s impossible, it’s to get your child to be pro active and have a picto schedule, to teach them to wash their own clothes, and of course hygiene as part of the schedule. We would also have a cooking activity, I can’t tell you how many times I would explain to the parents how important to give their child the opportunity to cook for themselves…. And I mean making a sandwich, toasting, and progressively making other things (boiling etc…). The students loved teaching others….or as if we were being taped for a show….make it fun. Give them the independence, at whatever level of functioning they’re at! Waving @ Craig and family 👋🤗🇨🇦

Oh gosh, jeans have become so much more comfortable since the 90ies! Especially the cheaper ones had really thick, overlapping seams in the crotch region. And I hated them. Now, as an adult I cut out all labels, don't wear tight clothing and absolutely have clothes for 'at home'. Clothes that are barely suitable for taking the trash out. But it feels so good not to have to deal with that sensory input. I ditched wearing bras altogether. Which was the biggest game changer ever.
