Exhaust is a very personal thing. That being said, the point of my video was to offer high-quality (non-smartphone) audio clips and a review, nothing more, it's up to you to decide what sound you are after. For me, i didn't care for the sound and the drone was unacceptable. What drones to me might not for someone else. I hope it works out for you.

@@therideproductions9872 can you please explain the drone your hearing ? Borla claims zero drone yet some customers say they hear it some say they don’t . I currently have a Corsa sport on my ram and have zero drone . I was interested in possibly going for Corsa but not if drone in present . Thanks for the video .

Why would a “fly by” be louder and distorting more than having a mic at the tips when when reving? Answer, it wouldn’t.

Sounds great. I was looking into this one rather than the Atak just because of the cabin sound. While cruising street/highway doesnt sound as loud in the interior which is what im looking for.

I had the atak on my SRT, damn that sounded amazing. Def worth it over a S type. I want it for my ram truck but looks like only the s type fits.

Sounds great for getting on it, but didn’t get an idea of what it was like when cruising. I thought I may have picked up a few times when MDS kicked in, but it was hard to tell. Any insight into drone while cruising?

I have the system and I can say it's zero drone. My wife both hate any bass drone and she even approves of this. The sound is clean, clear and noticeable when you're on the throttle hard and "almost" non existent in cruise. You know you have an exhaust, but you have to listen to it to notice. I've had many systems that droned horribly, and made you sick. This is not one of them. Borla did their homework on this one. Just enough sound to a classy truck, but goes almost silent when cruising. You can hear it cruising, but the wind noise is louder than the exhaust while cruising. Hope that helps!

That Borla S sounds great. My truck has Stainless works long tibe headers with high flow cats. I am wondering if your test truck had headers.

So are you running the borla with no cats? Or did you put on cats because borla sells them without cats correct?

None of the aftermarket systems will affect the cats, they are all cat-back exhausts.

If you were to switch your exhaust, would you consider doing a comparison between the Borla S-Type and the Corsa Sport? Or if you knew of someone who has a Corsa Sport on a Ram? It's hard to choose between the two as I have not heard any good videos prior to now

No plans to purchase a Corsa exhaust, i didn't see many on that one in my own research. i will most likely do a B2 Fab or a Magnaflow.

I have this exhaust on my 21 Ram Sport. There is no drone at all. And I’ve had aftermarket exhaust on other trucks that did drone badly.

I felt that it did drone a little bit. My biggest concern was around 2500-3000k which is where it seemed to sit when towing.

Sir- i am looking for a very minimal cab noise/sound inside- i too have a limited and do not want to devalue the look on it with a loud exhaust- rather a more quality sounding setup- i was thinking of going with the borla touring model to help with this - what are your thoughts?

Personal opinion, stay away from Borla. Most people still think the touring is quite loud. I think the magnaflow had a better tone as well. I'd try the B2 fab oval muffler, that will only set you back like $300 versus a $1000 cat-back.

@@therideproductions9872 Thanks! last year when i got the truck- I actually took a borla pro xs muffler and had a local shop fit it in place of the factory one and they deleted the rear cats- its loud and low sounding but makes alot of noise in the cab- ( welds have also started to leak- can smell leaking exhaust) I could go back and try to get them to re weld everything but i think i might just go with the magnaflow 19429 cat back- I will upload a video so you can hear for yourself

The Ride Productions Did you swap out for Magnaflow? I’m on the fence between Magnaflow, Tour, and S-Type. Leaning towards Borla because of 304SS. Biggest problem I have right now with videos, the stock sample appear to be much louder than mine. Especially for the in cab audio. Will probably go Magnaflow because it would be cheapest, easiest mistake to correct.

@@myrongibert3294 I have not yet, been working on a few other things. But that is my plan. i don't think the 304SS matters in the long run the stock system is stainless as well. Yes the stock exhaust seems to sound really good when you record it with decent microphones, but obviously seems much quieter in real life and likewise the Borla system is much louder in person than videos represent. I wish I had captured the SPL readings, I plan to do that for the Magnaflow video when I get around to it.
