I love watching your videos of big trucks getting painted and with so much detail. Dad and I were truckers as well as into restoring classic cars so we loved this process being done a few times in our lives. Dad drove a Kenworth just like that, up until when he retired in 2005 For Boise Cascade delivering plywood to Home Depot about the same time I quit driving, especially from what happened to the industry turning digital. He would have loved seeing this channel.

I find that interesting and I am certainly glad you (and your dad, in spirit) are along for this ride. I just happen to be doing another nuts and bolts style video as I write this, in fact. Thanks a bunch, my friend!

Thanks for the explanation of how you do things. Its fun to watch people that have perfected their craft, and even better when they explain what they are doing and why they do it.

Right on, my man! Take each step of the process...Do it to the very best of your ability with as little compromise as possible...And then do that same thing with the next step after that...Until there are no more steps left. That's how I do it anyway. Just break it up into the individual steps and free your mind of the clutter of worrying about steps your not working on. B.S. will still sometimes happen once in a while...You will be required to solve it with as much thoughtful grace as you can come up with. But...In the end...If you master each step until the steps are finished...and you will have a good result every time! Thanks for your positive input!

Question, How do you protect the wires during the sandblasting phase?
@teams.t.e.a.m621411 ай бұрын
I typically don't. I'm just careful about directly hitting plastic as well as fabric wire looms. In all the decades I've been blasting...I've never bared a single wire. So it does work though.

Does the owner detail this truck after it's finish being painted before it goes to auction ?

Have you done any freightliner Cascadia?
@teams.t.e.a.m6214 Жыл бұрын
No I have not. We've done many types of trucks over the decades...but not all of them

I know everyone is a critic but in my opinion it would look so much better if you did the roof cap to match the fenders whenever you paint fenders a different color
@teams.t.e.a.m6214 Жыл бұрын
I would lean that way as well...but these guys know exactly what they want, so thats what they get.
