How would you solve the partially exposed license plate at 04:20? Can I correct it manually, without having to ditch the License Plate ML effect all together? Would I then have to put a manually tracked mask on top of the ML generated mask?

Great question. Without having to ditch the License Plate ML entirely, you could add a second instance of Licence Plate ML and use Pixel Chooser/ Mocha to track the missing area. The second instance would work as a manual track but with all the Licence Plate features.

@@nickharauz8690 In Avid MC, every additional layer of Boris FX, at least the ones that uses Mocha, degrades the image quality. Do you know if that is also the case in Premiere? Would be great if we could access and edit the ML automated masks so that I would be able to solve everything within one effect layer.

You can use Mocha together with the ML tracking to limit the area of the effect, but you will need an additional layer to add another one in. We currently don't have the ability to use those solved masks as editable splines. My advice would be to duplicate the layer with the bottom one for the AI masks and the top one for manual corrections. This works in Premiere Pro and Avid, and will not degrade image quality in any appreciable way.

@@BorisFXco Thank you. will try it and see what makes the most sense for us. We use A LOT of time and resources obscuring content, primarily using Mocha within Avid. If you gave me the ability to activate both the Face detection ML and the License plate ML within the same effect AND the ability to edit the ML generated masks it would be a huge timesaver for us.

Yes, You can adjust the size of all the blurs , blur strength or choose a different style after the automation. In addition, you could use pixel chooser/Mocha to remove unwanted automated blurs from the shot.
