***** Thanks. Mine is not the "S" it is the 3 cyl turbo and my car is the 2 door/lighter. That's is also maybe why I get better mpg. Still a ball of fun! All the torque comes on very early!!!

Just ordered the 5 door cooper sd 0-62mph in 7.3 secs but it has a monstrous amount of torque almost 400 nm of it. its a shame you couldn't test drive the SD too.

We think so, Rossy Night. They're small, so frugal on gas. They're stylish and cool, so you'll look good. And most importantly, they're fun to drive, so you'll enjoy it. The only downside is that they are little more expensive than some other small cars, so there will be an increase in the cost of ownership when compared to a Honda, Toyota or Hyundai. +brown buter Well, believe it or not, brown buter. The Mini Cooper has quite a bit of interior room and fits all sizes of drivers/passengers. They even try to demonstrate this fact on MINI's website. +huaxzhang When just cruising around town with the windows up, the MINI Cooper S is fairly quiet, huaxzhang. This is a nice feature of more premium sporty cars -- loud when you want them to be, but quiet when you don't. Oh yeah, the Harman/Kardon premium sound system in our tester sounded great, too! +huaxzhang reliability from previous generation had parts from different car companies. This new generation is entirely designed by BMW and serves as platform for their upcoming 1 series. Also this engine is from the BMW 320i and 6 speed transmission made in Japan. I believe reliability to be pretty good.
