This is an all around great car and hard to beat by the competition. It is a very common car with most sales being the SE. The MPG's are excellent and better than many Lexus vehicles. The room inside and trunk space is better than a Lexus GS. The engine power and ride comfort is great. An overall amazing car by Toyota and sales numbers speak for them selves.

+Phantom096 im looking to buy a brand new 2014 leftover se camry I4 cylinder. They want 23K for it, that's with tax tags fees etc etc! And it has the 18 inch rims not these. You think its a good price?? I have a 2009 with 116K miles on it. Its GOOD, but I don't know if anything will go wrong with it, and I want a new one...but...I don't know!Your thoughts on this. And what do you think of the 2015s?? Should I go for that?

Fast forward...who else has a 2013 Toyota Camry SE? Is it still working? I kept up with my maintenance schedule and was told that my engine went out 3 months ago at 147,000 miles and now they're saying that I need a transmission. SO DISAPPOINTED. How is everyone else's 2013 Toyota Camry SE holding up?

That's no mileage at all on your car, K M. You should have MANY years of relatively carefree driving ahead of you. Chris has a 2009 Camry SE w/ 140k+ miles on it and it's still going strong.

I have to drive a 60 mile round trip 4-5 days a week to college, would this model with just under 100k miles be good for that? My dad insists on me getting a car with under 30k miles, but I'd rather get one with more miles because they're much cheaper. He thinks that more miles means its likely to break down on the long daily trip I have to take.

Unfortunately, both you and your father are correct, yginnab. A car with less than 30k miles will still have some warranty left, making it a safer used car purchase, but one with a higher mileage will definitely be cheaper. The problem is, the higher the mileage, the closer you are to wear and tear problems. Maybe you can consider a certified-preowned car with higher mileage, yet a good warranty? Just be sure to get one that is certified by the manufacturer and not just a local dealer. Besides the distance of your commute, you should also consider how long to plan to drive this car. One year? Five years or more? This will also play a part in how much mileage you should start with. If you start at 90k miles when you buy the car, then drive it for the next 4 years, 120 mi/day +, the mileage will begin to add up quickly, getting you closer to possible problems with no warranty coverage. At the end of the day, a used car purchase is a gamble because you do not know the history of the car, which is why the people feel more comfortable buying used cars with lower mileage, but you still have to take your budget into consideration, balancing low mileage with a price that works for you. Does the 2012 Toyota Camry XLE have a CVT Transmission? I am asking because I want to add LUCAS fluid to the transmission because of a shutter I am experiencing at about 45mph. Car has 165k miles. Please advise. Thank you so much. Be well. JC

The standard 2012 XLE has a 6-soeed automatic transmission, Watch Designing. The hybrid version has a continuously variable transmission (CVT). After some brief research, it seems as though the shudder is caused by a combination of an engine control module software glitch and a faulty torque converter. ​@@teddypabian7858 The fix for the transmission shudder is to get your torque converter replaced and your PCM updated so that the issue doesn't happen again. The repair is no longer under warranty though. It's a problem that these cars came with from the factory but they still drive fine without the fix.

The interior was rather quiet, however, more along the lines of what you would expect from a Camry.
