I had the prior model GC and it was one of my all time favorites, fast and practical. And the new one is just stunning, so true. As for reliability, no issues, just gas and go. I am glad they retained the rear hatch.👍BTW, the front grill chops veggies, cooks steaks, and shreds the competition.🙊

there was a good period of time in mid-late 21 early 22 where there were huge supply chain issues in the power seat switches, modulators, and motors...BMW made a concession to owners to give them a $1000 credit in exchange for manual seats and not having to wait until potentially 2023 for a 2022 car that people were trying to buy in 2021.

I received a number of cars that had option deletes due to the chio shortage. Even my S5 had the wireless charger deleted for that reason. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

I have one, however I didn't delete the power seats and I have black interior. I bought it without test driving it, so I was a bit worried about the performance, but when I took of the showroom floor my worries quickly faded. This car drives great and has plenty of power. Throw it into sport mode and it will get you there quick and sound great while doing so. I average around 23-25mpg, but I have a very heavy foot.

Great video as usual Chris! To shed some light on the "power seat delete", it's not an option. BMW had to deliver many vehicles with power seats deleted because of the chip shortage. They gave a "delete credit" for the trouble. They did the same on other models, deleting the touch screen capability on iDrive, removal of the power lumbar support, removal of the wireless charger, etc. I feel bad for customers who waited months for their cars, only to be told they would get $500-800 for deleted equipment. Sucks, but lots of manufacturers are doing the same (but no power seats in a BMW? Com'on Man!).

Great review Chris. I like this new model a lot. Even the grill design is growing on me. I feel like this hatch body style makes it more useful than the 3 Series. The gray exterior/red interior pops as well.

The M440i seems like a great car. Will have to keep it in mind when I am shopping around again. I do like the front end of the M440I more than I ever liked the front end on the Cadillac CTS or Cadillac ATS. The front-end on both Cadillacs was a show-stopper for me on otherwise nice cars. I am with you on the grille. It would take me a while to get use to it, also.
