Randy, cars are one of the best things to be addicted to. Also, your heart is in the right place, because you want to donate charitable organizations. In fact, the 350Z that Mike is working on, seems like a good candidate, for wounded military veterans, who want a drop top sports car, but are no longer able to drive cars with manual transmissions. Finally, I live in Oregon (Beaverton Oregon, to be exact).

The most favorite car I’ve ever owned was a white 95 GT Convertible. Before her, I had a 96 GT coupe. I had the convertible for 9 years and the coupe for 6. The torque was my favorite part! They don’t break land speed records but they sure can smoke the tires 😏 and are sooooo much fun to drive. If I had the space, I would be getting another one. If I have a garage, there will always be a pony in it 😁😁

Changed the sender same thing ,pulled the sender and an put a mechanical gauge temp ran it into the drivers side window then drove it. It ran normal just the way the gauge was. Never worried about it again but my ocd I always was looking at the gauge. LOL never saw it get hot.

Any auto parts store you can get a "block tester" life saver when u have a car like this one!! It's a tube like thing u hold over the radiator and it has a liquid u poor into it and it is blue. U pump the little bulb at the end and it draws air into the fluid and if there is any combustion gases in the cooling system the liquid goes from blue to green. It is such a awesome investment to have in your box!

*RANDY, you’ve got to stop being so hard on yourself!!* This car was a PERFECT example. Go back & view the first video of this Mustang. Here’s a few of your comments from it & you’re ready to part it out within 7-8 mins into the video... “I’ve got too much experience with this to have made such a stupid mistake.” “I screwed up” “...appears to be a dud...” “...if I’d looked at this car a lot closer, paid more attention, I would’ve seen these signs & known to stay away from it” “.... these are things that could’ve prevented a mistake like this from happening.” “I feel like this is a bad deal; my fault, my stupidity for not checking things out better” Compared to THIS latest video!.... “I’m excited! I’m real excited!” “Real proud of this car!!” “This car is so much fun” “I’m thrilled! I’m so so happy...” Granted you may have had a little “luck” on your side with this one but don’t be selling yourself short so early into a rebuild. 👍👍 Keep the great content coming & Thank You! 👍👍

Yeah, man its a shame that LKQ did charge you that much money for those secondhand parts. $50 for an old radiator? Those are worth around $25 secondhand. Also, the secondhand battery was way too expensive. I get them at my local scrapyard for $20 and if I trade in my old one then I get $5 off. *Anyway, you saved a nice muscle car and with Mike doing the bodywork it's going to be amazing!* Would try to find some original mustang wheels for it. I think it would make it more sellable and those once you got are easy to get rid if you place them on Craigslist.

I know I'm late to the party here, but I love the SN95 platform. My first car was a 98. Always burp the coolant system. It'll help with it getting hot, pretty sure you had an air bubble in there. Odometer gears lose teeth all the time, pretty simple fix and a cheap part. Had to do mine a while ago, changed all the gauge lights to LED while I was at it. That broken spot on the header panel was someone unceremoniously deciding they wanted the pony emblem more than they wanted to save the part. Vacuum leaks are the reason I have trust issues.

You got an air pocket in that cooling system. Take the cap off with the motor cold, get it up to temp with the cap still off and rev it to 2000rpm for a minute or so. Leave the cap off while the motor cools down then top up. You may need to do this a couple times. Thats why your low coolant light keeps coming on as its pushing an air pocket around.

Oregon has different environments with a lush and wet coastal region, a range of foothills, and some much dryer areas. But its quite a difference from the extremes of the midwest. Different people as well. The coastal foothills can be overcast for long periods in the winter and some who easily suffer from cabin fever might prefer the sunnier midwest or southern winter climates. But overall the area appeals to many. Not so good if you need the hustle and bustle of a giant metropolis and maybe not great if you have not figured out your strengths in life. So maybe its good if it does not seem to be ideal to everyone. My advice for young people who are not too tied down is to find your passion and go for it and while you are at it, find the location you really want and make it happen.
