I open the door for ladies, because it is the right thing to do. Uber does not pay for a luxury experience. The Uber pay does not cover nice cloths and amenities.

Every new driver-partner starts with a perfect rating of 5. Your rating may fluctuate often until you’ve completed your first 50-100 rated trips since there are fewer rides affecting the average. As your number of rated trips grows, changes in your rating will be smaller. Keep in mind that one low rating will not have a significant impact on your overall rating

I don’t think that’s possible in the app. Uber probably designed the app this way purposely to mitigate any type of biases drivers may have to driving to certain areas as requested by the clients.

It is in the Stride app. In addition, what hat about purchasing new tires for the car, a vacuum to keep the car clean, a spot shampooer to spot shampoo the car carpet on usual basis. As a customer, I agree with the drivers below. When I get into my Uber the driver always asked me my name and I always check the license plate number. Why do we need to add another feature which is going to slow down the process further. I already have enough pins to remember I don't need another one. I think if this is a safety matter then Uber needs to take time to check their drivers to make sure they are reliable upstanding citinzens.

This video make it seem like Uber is an luxus job, expecting you to perform more than you should, to strive for quality. Even though Uber is basically paying less than minimum wage. Not buying a suit or any other goods as a damn Uber driver. Uber as a company should expect shit cars with dirty drives for the price they're paying. The app is in favor of the customer much more than the driver. Uber legitimately hates it dependence of the driver, trying to get rid of those who made their company, but making driverless cars. Hey Uberman you helped me Allot Breaking new people I just found out that Rider can trick us into a ride and mid trip cancel the ride. It happenned to me last night. the rider requested uber for his friend I had 2 stops and mid way they cancelled the trip. Now i am left with a cancellation fee instead of my fare. Uber just told me thereis nothing they can do about it if the fare is not on the app. please uberman do a video about this.

What this video does not tell you, and what Uber never tell you, is that using an iPhone as an Uber driver is a huge mistake. If you want good earnings and don't care about your rating, well go on then, use an iPhone. If you care about your rating, then accept missed opportunities for earnings. If however, you want both earnings and ratings, then use an operating system that allows interaction between two apps. I took an Uber ride once, and I said to the driver "why are you using Uber's satnav?". He said "because I want to know if someone cancels". I thought that was the dumbest reply ever. But now I have tried using the iPhone, I know exactly what he means. He had a very low rating, and now I know precisely why.

Google maps sucks. I worked my first Uber shift tonight. Twice it took me close, but on the wrong side of building firat time and then a dead end street. Finally when rider called (stoned) she told me where she lived and i went around corner to get her. I wish there was a better ap.

TheBigWheels11 I also drive for Uber and have come across similar issues. App shows pick up locations across the street or even a block away. I also noticed the app will notify the rider when I am still more than a mile away from the pick up instead of just when I arrive. Last night I had a rider tell me Uber wouldn't do a pick up from his house so he had to walk 3 blocks to a busy street corner and wait for me.

Always, always, always rate the non-tipping riders 4 or below to alert other drivers and yourself. Because, after a few non-tipping rides, these cheap riders ratings will show up low 4 or below 4, then you decide...... Example, non-tipping riders after 5 rides (5+4+4+4+4)/5=4.20, after 10 no-tipping rides (5+4+4+4+4+4+4+4+4+4)/10=4.10 ...... I'll not pick up riders with less than 4.33 rating because most likely these are either problem or non-tipping riders.

cooi88 tips are provided for excellent service, not just for driving me around. I can do that myself. If a driver goes out of their way to open the door, or provide water, then yeah, I’ll tip and leave 5 stars. If it’s average service, you’ll get 5 stars and no tip. If a driver asks for a tip or 5 stars, then its an instant 1 star rating. Annoying as hell for the rider who couldn’t care less about their rating (I’m not being paid). You get tips with your actions, not petty things like this.

Natalie kd2 you’re acting like they only get paid with tips. Here in Toronto, the average salary for taxi drivers is $60, 000. I’ve straight up ask is they want a tip and they said it’s fine. Uber and Lyft are meant to be for people with real jobs and cars who just want to make some extra money on their down time. I’ve also never met anyone who tips at a grocery store. That’s not even an option on any of the machines and when the line gets too long they start telling people to use self checkouts so there is no way I’m tipping anyone for telling me to cash out my own groceries. The only place I feel obligated to tip is at sit down restaurants, and that’s because the staff are paid below minimum wage, as it is expected that the tips they receive will make up for it. I’m not against tipping Uber drivers, I’m just not a fan of it being mandatory. I’ve had Uber drivers start playing on their phones, calling people in another language, and swerving all over the road, and drivers who great you, ask for a preferred route, and said have a good day. Guess who’s getting a tip?

In the past, ALL professional taxi, limo or car for hire service drivers, ALWAYS had to pay an annual licensing fee to the county. Apparently, Uber drivers are not required to do so. Apparently they paid lobbyists to bribe congressmen to change all past taxi-driver requirements to facilitate them! Unbelievable! Also, Uber doesn't have to pay to insure or even maintain vehicles like all other taxi services, like Yellow Cab. Uber doesn't put potential drivers through an interview process or even a training program. Infact, Uber doesn't even meet or see their drivers. Uber doesn't need to hire mechanics, or people to take phone calls, but simply uses a computer system to handle everything, yet the owners sit back and reap 20% profit, off the top, for every single taxi ride.

It says cashless but why does the Uber rider app say cash payments are coming soon to all cities? On the website it even says Uber has cash payments set up in current select cities. Not sure if they are beta testing this or if they are just in some cities but not others but I'm pretty sure soon everyone can pay you in cash which I would see as a problem unless you don't mind taking constant trips to the atm. Also who in the hell is going to wear a suit and tie while driving a Toyota? My Toyota might be hybrid but it's not that fancy to wear a suit and tie as say a BMW or a Mercedes LOL
