I own the 2013 Hyundai Elantra from new. Put over 85,000 miles and It has been pretty reliable thus far. Had the ignition coils replaced at around 70,000 miles. 100,000 mile warranty has covered the wheel bearing replacement. Been religious for synthetic oil changes and fuel induction service since the GDI engine needs it. I can get up to 42mpg HWY if I drive like a granny on the tollway. 😂

Thanks for showing why you can’t cheap out and use incorrect material plugs, for many reasons. You pointed out the electrode, and that’s important- the entire ignition system is specifically designed to run a plug with that specific electrode shape, heat range, and material. Those ash deposits are indicative of a plug that is not working efficiently- honestly can indirectly cause engine damage by pre-detonation (spark knock). So yeah, if she calls for iridium, I don’t care how much those suckers cost, put iridium back in there. Also gotta let that O2 sensor do a few complete running cycles before you can technically call it all good. But I’ve seen this enough times to say that there is a 95% success rate that when there is a problem in an o2 heater circuit that it’s within the sensor itself. It’s a heating element that, like all elements or filaments that produce a lot of heat, eventually wear out and short open.

Nice Cub Cadet, I have the ZT2 54" it has survived 2 floods and still runs and mows great. Sadly my F250 Didn't survive this last flood, so now it's going to get even less use.

Those Kia and Hyundai cars are not bad for what they are. They make great commuter cars and are comfy enough for long trips. They were made to be Point A to Point B cars. I like them and I would not kick this one out of my drive way. Good luck in the sale. I don't think you have done a total cost/profit video in a long while. You also have not given any updates on your uncle's house.

Improper plugs will cause rough idle , hesitation & other issues. Always use oe plugs & electric sensors!

Did they also do under the hood and in the trunk detail? If so, can you show those areas too? Thanks. I have a 2017 forte with almost 190K that my daughter drives. It had an oil leak from a cracked oil pan. Changed it out and no more leak. Daughter claims there is still a leak, but nothing on the driveway, so with your video I can only feel that it is probably burning oil a bit, but nothing coming out the exhaust smoke wise. She doesn't do much maintenance on the car and you can tell it has a few issues, so we get an occasional oil change and replace tires periodically when one goes bad. Anyway, thanks for sharing what you find and I enjoy watching your videos.

It's interesting to see how much hasn't changed between this old Forte and my 2020 Cerato. I can see how Kia has kept prices so low by changing so little. The engine of cause as mine is not GDI. They dropped it for a chain driven 2.0. Hyundai use the GDI with a little more power but not noticeable.

This is how it starts. Replace the CAT, then replace those spark plugs, replace those coils, replace the PCV valve, maybe do a intake cleaning for all that carbon. Check the oil every week because next is the oil disappearing between 1500-3000k. Hope you got that KSDS updated because it will fail in the next 20k miles even with everything you did.

On a Kia the spark plugs must be charged at 100K. But did you change the cabin filter yet? Should be done @ 60K. Nice work Randy!

My sister has a 2013 Kia Forte it's been going crazy as of late someday it won't start for nothing so she had it taken to a shop it crack everytime so she went got it now its back not starting they came changed crank sensor it started good for couple weeks now back doing same thing

You should keep that Kia and use it to run all you long distances back and for the house and shop and SAVE A LOT OF Money on fuel KEEP It you cant replace it for 2k Keep your Ram 3500 for towing ... and then u can play with all you other cars ... U need a reliable cheap daily driver

We have a Forte5 and love it!!! 2014 with about 115k miles on it. A 2.0 GDI. I am planning on doing the walnut shell blasting of the valves but it has been a great little car... Loads of power and fun lil car.

I think that for the money you have into it you should use it daily ! You will never find another that cheap . An inexpensive daily where the miles on that don't matter in a year of personal use . you could save hundreds a week from not driving the truck or anything else with low mpg ! If Jessica also uses it for daily sometimes her miles would stay low on her mustang . an extra reliable car for $2400.00 that in a year you could rack up the miles and still double your money in that year with having a nice car to teach nick how to drive with . Also would've a reliable car for nick to drive to school ! And now you know he's safe in a well time tested carb and have the history behind it ! Have a great week ! Oxygen sensor doesn’t come into play until she warms up. No check engine light after reset and first start up doesn’t really mean anything. Doesn’t mean your work was spot on. But food for though. Especially whom ever buys this.

Unfortunately, you’re still selling the Kia with a bad cat since you punched out the front. That doesn’t seem very ethical to me. Also, how can you sell the range rover when it appeared as if the engine had a bad head gasket? Maybe I’m missing some thing? Really hope that you don’t continue to sell cars retail like the Kia on a regular basis when there’s still a part that needs to be replaced if you bought it for $2000 put $150 into it and it’s worth $8800. You have room to put a new cat on it even a walker cat that’s non-Kia.

There might be a recall on the OCS sensor, so the KIA dealer may fix it for free. You might also be eligible for a free steering wheel club, since they are easy to steal.
