Randy, I had to replace my alternator on my 87 Allante (Yeah, I had one too !) and I ordered it from Autozone. As I got the part from the clerk, I thought to ask him to bench test it for me ( for peace of mind ) and when he did, the damned thing didn’t work right out of the box !!! So good thing I had it checked out before Leaving ! He had to re-order it for me ! Always bench test alternators from store !!!

The 57 chevy is one most iconic cars made. When u talk about classic chevy first thing come to mine everytime is the 57 chevy. Those cars now are worth soo much 28k was a steal. If you sold that car with AC and heat plus Seat belt kit and a cool classic paint job with the classic bluetooth stero that looks like a stock radio u would get ur 28k plus atleast 10k more. My fiancee and I love the vids we love the vlog style plus we love your walkaround videos especially when you rant about things that are going on in this world.

Love the 57. Good to see it out getting used. It really sucks that someone put an extra stereo in the dash. I've never seen that before... I would have to get the aluminum replacement panel and just have the one in dash stereo where the original radio was because that would drive me nuts. This is me nitpicking LOL... Anyone that thinks the 57 is worthless and that $26,000 - $28,000 for it was too much, has never restored or owned a classic car. I've lost count of how many classic cars, muscle cars and Corvettes I have owned over the years. Some I completely restored myself with the exception of doing the interior work because I don't know how to do it, and some were already done when I bought them, and I can tell you for certain, that there is no way in hell you can restore a 57 Chevy or any other classic car for what you paid for it... Plus, if you do a complete restoration it will take at least a year to completely redo the car, and do it right, and if you have a normal job that takes up most of your time, it will take a lot longer than that... Buying a car that is already restored saves a pile of money, and you get instant gratification. The interwebz is loaded with cars that people spent $100,000 - $150,000 having someone restore their car, and if they get half of that back if they sell it, they are lucky. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part restoring a car is the worst financial decision a person can make, and a huge waste of money. The plus side of restoring it yourself, or having one restored is that you get the car exactly the way you want it...
