I disagree with his verdict, with that price point and beautiful interior and dynamic handling I would prefer the Mazda and if want a more aggressive looking, equipment and performance take the Mazda 2R, I've seen that in person with side skirting with big wheels it's stunning...

Since he already mentioned that the Honda Jazz RS is more of an aesthetic upgrade and honza jazz's top of the line VS the mazda 2 v+ is a mid-range variant, the smackdown should have been better between Honda Jazz RS vs The Mazda 2 R or Premium since were doing both sporty type or top of the line for both variant to be fair. But GREAT REVIEW!!!! I've been looking for a VS review for both cars. 👍👍👍

Nagdrive ako mazda 2 at honda jazz before. Mazda 2 is more more fuel efficient it can go around 17 to 19km per liter combination uphill from nueva ecija going to nueva viscaya hangang isabela. And also mazda 2 is very responsive and pretty fast it can easy beat 158kmh in 4th gear when you put in on 5th gear it can go around 180km hindi na ko nkapag 6th gear..mazda 2 is very strong under chassis.while honda jazz is very large cabin and more sporty only

Nice watch. I won't be in the Philippines anytime soon, so won't be able to sample the Mazda2, but in terms of manual cars, which one can take a flogging better? Which of these two would you be more willing to wring to redline more often or rewards the driver with a more driver-focused feel? Space is space, I don't drive space, I drive a car and that is what I want my car to do, drive well first, do other things well 2nd. Lack of space in the '2 can be balanced by other means.

I'm all for jinb itai. But as far as accleration goes, you said the Mazda was more spritely, had more verve, feels crisper, responsive - these are all all vague words. Did you actually Measure the acceleration of each car? In regard to acceleration, sometimes appearances can be deceiving. CVTs are notorious for accelerating faster even though they don't seem to. Much the way driving on a smooth wide highway you seem to be going slower than going the same speed or a rougher, narrower road - even though you are going faster.

Where did they find this guy? Even in his review there were more pros on the mazda and decided hey the honda is better. Not even a fair comparison in the first place here in the Philippines they should've put the premium mazda 2 head to head with the rs with similar pricing. Plus mazda offers 3 years of free maintenance which is a huge bonus. I'm currently looking for a small car such as these for an everyday commute around the metro and the mazda is pretty up there in value proposition.

your reviews need a lot more polish. You mention engine power figures like you're not sure of what they are, same goes for when you mention how many gears the Mazda's transmission has. Then there's the annoying cellphone feedback, odd cut shots, and audio-less segments. There's potential here but a lot more work is needed

For reliability, go with a Honda. It's not that a mazda has bad reliability but hondas has got a proven reputation in this department. Between these two, I'd go with the mazda.. but manual transmission. I have a cx3 which was based on the mazda 2. Almost completely look the same but just different sizing. But from all the sub compacts I'd choose the honda Fit because of that magic seat.

System (metric system ) Car weights are kilograms and horsepower is given in watts or kilowatts. FYI, 1 kilo equals 2.2 pounds and 1 horsepower equals 746 watts.
