The reason why i love the volvo xc90 a lot.. 1 It's sexy n gorgeous ( 4 an SUV ) 2 The interior is the next level 3 It's got the best touchscreen in a car 4 It got me excited about packaging 5 And it has a crystal shift knob 6 Attention to detail 7 So much safety tecnologies in this car 8 Thors hammer headlights etc... #Volvoselamanya..

one big consideration when buying these hybrid suvs is the battery cost and placement. if im not mistaken the x5's battery is placed in the trunk and costs about ~10k so it is easy to replace and not that costly, whilst the xc90's battery is in the transmission tunnel so most likely difficult to replace and im not sure about the cost of battery

for the record, it would be more than 15k price difference. the x5 come with 5 year or 100k km free scheduled service. that alone is approx RM 5k to RM 10k depending on the km you drive. But I do agree that xc has crazy torque.

I've viewed this video for few times (not less than 10 views for sure hehe) After all and after few times of testdriven as well on both cars, i've made up my mind and made a toughful desicion, I opted to settle with the X5 😅 Just got my car in last 2 weeks.. Even your review can be tought more bias to XC90, to me personally, BMW has an 'X Factor' which couldn't be found in any other brands 😜 or perhaps I'm a die-hard fan of Bimmer? haha Anyway, thanks again and keep up a good job!

Yea i know 330e is mean to replace the the lovely torque thruster 320d.. but how does 330e better than 320d? It sad though no more 320d on sale

Thanks for the support Haikal. Well, technically the 330e is not replacing the 320d. BMW Malaysia stopped selling the diesel because there is very little demand for it. What more with the tax incentive for CKD hybrid cars, it's more feasible to focus on 330e.

Good review guys! Just a reminder, since you demonstrated child seat attachment - the seat should be placed opposite direction up til the child is about 3 years old. Sudden impact may risk the child's neck to break if facing forward because of the whiplash effect.

When you compare this to Paul Tan and Roda Pusing, I would say your videos are more straight to the point and its the flow is so smooth and fast. Excellent review on both car. My personal input will be the long term total-cost-of-ownership (TCO), i.e. maintenance. Volvo's transmission has been well known for short transmission life in last 20 years (but could be longer). In other word, the transmission break down in about 10 years, and as early as 7 yr. It is a RM$2k-5k to fix the existing transmission, or replace it (higher cost) with a used one, but the 1 yr warranty is useless, as it will fail again in 3-5 yr time. It has happened to 2-3 people that I known Therefore, BMW has a lower TCO. Transmission is as solid as Honda/Toyota (famous ZF transmission) after year 2007, and never heard any issue for any model after year 2011. As a owner + DIY for year 2000 BMW, this car is easy to repair yourself, low maintenance (higher TCO than Honda) among German car. Both depreciate much faster than Japanese car, e.g. Lexus, but that is expected, and normal for all luxury German car

one thing i dont really like about this volvo model. it's the screen. actually i really dont like all instrument are integrated inside the screen. for example aircond. come on. it make it is hard to used and it will be slight delayed to changed from one setting to the another. can they just used the screen for radio, gps and entertainment system only..haish..it is not bad to add more switch inside the cabin...see the peugeout 3008 interior design. it is brilliant. that piano alluminium switch like lambo style.

I love both vehicles, but I chose the BMW X5 xDruve49e just recently. This video was terribly biased toward the Volvo. There was nothing impartial about it. I was reluctant to buy a Volvo, in as much as that company is transitioning completely away from internal combustion motors. I know, however, I would have been happy with either vehicle.

nice review, could of done a drag race to see which one accelerates better haha. heard the hybrid xc90 is all big on paper but not so much on the road whilst the x5 might have lower figures on paper but bmw always downplays their specs, lets not forget the n20 engine on the x5 is actually 240 hp on the wheels (whp) as tested by motortrend so its engine is actually producing close to 280Bhp.

Why did you review an outdated and standard X5, My BMW F15 X5 40e is with mamy things what you say you a X5 don't have like 20''rims with in the front 275 and rear 315 tires, touchscreen, comfort seats with very soft leather, active cruise control, nightvision with blind spot etc etc etc.
