Minimalist is marketing team for cost saving / cheapskate and still requests premium price. The interior such a let down. Exterior looks classy and nice.

It’s about options. Go to xpeng, BYD, zeekr, etc. or pay up and getting c40/EC40 model with better interior but older platform.

Too much like Tesla. Younger generations may love it with all in screen, but old guy like me hate it (deteriorating eyesight 😢)

Actually it’s a much larger screen than the center console screen of the XC40/C40. 12.4” vs 9”. There will also be a new generation UI update. Yes I agree removing driver display screen was wrong decision IMO but I suppose it was due to cost cutting (sustainability claim). But they should’ve given heads up display in higher tier (I suspect may be introduced in later model year)

The EX90 isn’t out yet but I’ve an EX30 on my drive so I think the 90 is copying the 30?

Range is better compared to Smart but all the settings on the screen is a bad choice especially drive mode button. It’s not always you need to drive on sports mode.

A deal breaker for me now, instead Volvo should tweak these few things to make it more saleable in MY 1. Digital speedometer instead of IR cus we always gonna try to keep 110km/h, make the IR as optional upgrade. Or just add a HUD which reflects a digital speedo. 2. 18 inch with higher profile, since it's a city car, 20 inch is overkill for a small city car despite for its proportionate looks. 3. Touch screen button for glove box, the heck? Shoulda used recycled plastic for buttons and recycled aluminum for the springs. 3. No grill, abit of a hit or miss cus MY climate generally hot & humid, so not sure how effective is the battery & motor in dissipating heat from more heated drives up mountains & alleys.

Electric opening of glove box has hidden feature. You can set a pin to unlock. So while yes it’s inconvenient I do appreciate the ingenuous option.

I really, really wish they gave it a small display in front of the driver or a heads up display at the very least so you dont have to look at the center screen, a la tesla for everything. That was one reason I didnt buy the model 3.

The thing is.....not a good idea eyes on screen panel all the time while driving. I need a EV car that I can have my muscle memory running.

Everything looks perfect except the back seat. Look cramped, and very small. A big let down

I just hope some governing body put a ban/illegalized the practice of putting unnecessary control in central screen (such as the EU). Seriously, safety wise. EV was suppose to be promoting safer driving but it has been taking once step forward, two three steps back approach. At the very least, enforce physical control for climate control and crucial driving control/selector, as well as driver's line of sight view for crucial driving information. Fully central screen control should only be valid once full self-driving is 100% approved on road.
